A beautiful, traditionally renovated Andalucian cortijo, perfectly designed for large group getaways. El Cachete is a 150 year old farmhouse set in 80 acres of beautiful olive groves. The cortijo was bought in 2000 and the owners, Jim and Mary Cairns, have done extensive work on the property to ensure that it can accommodate not only a large number of people (up to 21) but also a variety of activities, whilst putting minimal strain on the environment. The cortijo has been designed to be as eco-friendly as possible; the water is sourced from its own well and there are solar panels to heat the water. Whatever you're looking for from a group holiday rental, this cortijo has it; whether that be swimming in the 20 metre long, 2.75 metre deep pool, soaking up the sun, playing ping pong, or seeking out one of the hidden cubby holes - perfect for reading or simply having some ‘me time’.
We have a yoga studio, which can be used only by request a d guided by a yoga teacher, if you are interested, please let us know in advance so we can contact one of the teachers that work with us.
There are volunteers living in the property, helping with ecological projects as well with the house maintenance.
There are 2 friendly dogs that live with us, they come and go during the day

“An absolute dream group destination”
Wow. Where to even start - Cortijo el Cachete is an absolute gem of a find - an hour North of Malaga up in the hills, the villa is the perfect group holiday destination. As a group of 17 friends it can be a challenge to find suitable accommodation for a weeks holiday. Fortunately I stumbled across Cortijo el Cachete and we were not disappointed. David was friendly and informative from the off, helping out with several questions that we had when booking nearly a year in advance. The villa itself was absolutely incredible - double bedrooms with en suites and fans, a kitchen to cook for a small army and the biggest pool I've ever seen in a private villa. We had planned to explore the local area whilst we were there but once we had arrived we didn't want to leave. David, Scott and Carmen were available to help in any way whilst we were there with a presence that felt discreet but comforting. Carmen also made her traditional paella on the first night which was the prefect way to start the holiday. All in all - this is the best group trip destination we have been to in ten years travelling together and it not to be missed. If you're thinking about booking this place - do it!
