Description

Our family home is delightfully situated on a mature complex, on a corner plot, overlooking the communal pool. It has been our own holiday home for a number of years and so you will find all those little extras that you would hope to find if this was your own family property. The house, pool and surrounding area are ideal for a family holiday, where everything is within walking distance. The beach is under 10 minutes from the house, where you will find the warm and safe waters on the Mar Menor, a lagoon linked to the Med, with gently sloping sands and shallow waters making it ideal and safe for children.

We have been letting out our house to guests for a number of years on a different web site and have a large number of guests who return year after year, so we hope that this will assist you when trying to decide whether to book with us. If you have any queries, we would be very happy to hear from you.

Getting around

Supermarkets, restaurants and the beach are all within a few minutes walk from our house. There are also excellent local bus services, including one which covers various stopping points around the town. And others which will take you to Cartegena or Murcia if you wish to explore further afield.

Interaction with guest

Our house is managed for us locally by Pablo, a delightful man who speaks excellent english. He will meet you at the entrance to our complex, show you around our house and provide you with keys. He will also collect the fees for (a) the final cleaning charge of 85 euros and (b) air conditioning (Euro 8.50 per day) if you wish to use this. He can also assist with airport collections and drop-offs, should you require. This would need to be arranged directly with Pablo who will quote a price for you.

House rules

Please familiarise yourselves with the simple rules when using the swimming pool and also those for our complex. You will be provided with a copy of these, before you start your holiday and further copies are displayed in our house.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the house, on the balconies and the roof terrace. You may smoke in the front and back garden areas, but please remember to use an ashtray - do not throw cigarette ends onto the flower beds.

“Amazingly relaxing”

We had a relaxing holiday. The house was a home away from home. Cosy, cool and had everything we needed. Communication from the owner was spot on. Will definitely stay here again

Response from the owner Thank you for your comments, which are important to us. I have checked with our local representatives and they have apologised for the lack of additional bedding for the cot, but we were not aware that you had a baby in your party (Holiday Lettings only advise us as to the number of adults and children). In future, once we have received a guests booking details, we will make our own enquiries regarding the ages of the children. Bedding & towels - we leave out one set per guest of each but more are available, from our local representatives - we will make this clearer in future. All tea towels will be changed. Regarding the sun beds, we have found that guests prefer these to be on the ground floor, so that they can use them in the front garden area, but all guests are able to move the beds to wherever they wish. The beds that we provide do not require cushions, so we believe these to be old cushions for a previous type of sunbed, which have now been disposed of. Our local representatives did not agree with your comments about the silicone but I have asked them to renew this. Regarding the cost of renting our house, I have already explained to you that the cost is high, once the commission charged by this site is taken into account, which is some 17%. Despite these points, I trust that you all had a good holiday and thank you again for your comments which will result in a number of changes that we will put in place.

“Fantastic location”

We have rented this house several times . It is in alovely poolside spot and you can walk to the beach , shops and restaurants with no need to drive. The addition of wifi is an added bonus. There is a combination of shaded and sunny areas ,keeping all the family happy. A great house to rent .

Response from the owner Thank you for your review and we are sorry that our house did not meet the standards that we expect. Our property is fully cleaned after each guest and we are therefore surprised that you considered it dirty a comment that none of our previous guest have ever made. The headboards in our third bedroom are not fixed as we have found that previous guests prefer it that way so that they can adapt the room to their own needs. However we note your comments and will see what can be done to fix them whilst retaining flexibility. We understand that our local manager visited you twice whilst you were in the house to ensure that everything was OK and that on neither occasion did you mention these item which would have been rectified immediately. We also note your comments about the chair cushions - no previous guests had raised this with us but we will ask that this be checked and rectified if necessary. Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention.
