“Lovely Easter Break”

“Cute October stay”
Lilac Cottage is a quaint little place to stay. We had a lovely couple of days here with our dog. It is immaculately clean and comfortable in a very scenic part of Suffolk. We went to Dunwich beach which is only a 10 minute drive from the cottage, lovely. We also went into Westleton and visited the crown pub which was also lovely. There are Alpaca’s in the field opposite which made nice viewing from upstairs! The only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is because there are building works next to the cottage which was a little loud in the morning, not the owners fault of course. Also we felt there should be an outside light for the back garden if it is dog friendly as you never know what time they need to go! Very dark. We also felt it would of been a little safer if the back garden was enclosed for the dog. All in all a pleasant stay.

“Countryside retreat”
A beautiful location in a quiet village with a pub and a farm shop. The cottage is clean and well thought through with everything you need. The location is perfect for exploring the coast and all the pretty villages, nowhere is far and you can be on the beach in 10 minutes, We would thoroughly recommend and will definitely be back.

“Comfortable cottage in beautiful Suffolk countryside”
Very pleasant, recently renovated, semi detached cottage. Large garden opening onto fields with beautiful rose bushes outside the kitchen window and with a SW facing paved area equipped with teak dining furniture. The cottage was warm, had plenty of hot water, was thoughtfully furnished and the wi-fi worked well. There were very comprehensive guide notes to the locality provided. The only problem we had was that on the last night we couldn't get the FreeView box to connect to the television - but we always have problems with that sort of thing. Never did understand video recorders.

“Perfect location for exploring the heritage Coast”
Very clean , comfortable and well equipped cottage. Lots of storage and in a lovely peaceful position a ten minute stroll from the very pretty village and country pub which serves excellent food. The cottage is adjacent to a field which was great for our two dogs, although some form of gate or fence across the drive would be ideal. The owner popped in to make sure we had everything we needed which we really appreciated and we will certainly return.

“Lovely settng”
I stayed at Lilac cottage with my husband and 88 year old Mother. We all found the cottage to be very comfortable, clean and was in a great position for visiting the attractions of the area. The cottage was well equiped with the exception of a few things....hence the four stars. First there were no instuctions on things like the recycling, bin day etc., hence we had to quess about which bin to recle rubbish. Second, a hair dryer would have been nice and lastley bedside tables with lamps would also have been useful. But all in all we had a lovely time.Sitting outside having breakfast looking at the wildlife and the beautiful setting and then in the evening a late night glass of wine was delightful. We all agree that we would love to visit the cottage again.
