Located in the Loire Valley between Blois and Tours, amidst the most prestigious Loire Chateaux, surrounded by forests and vineyards, in a 700 hectare estate with lakes for fishing, the Gîte des Orfeuilles is a farmhouse dating from 1830, in a calm, wooded countryside setting, 1 kilometre away from the nearest and the owners' houses.Up to 12 people can be accommodated in the main house and the charming barn (400m²), with 5 bedrooms (18 to 28m²), 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen / dining room, sitting room with fireplace, las well as a private swimming pool, heated to your taste.Ideal for a holiday house, the Gîte des Orfeuiles is spacious and extremely comfortable, having been lavishly restored in 2005, in keeping with the original style. Here you can spend your holidays far from everyday stress and noise. Leave your car under the car shelter and take the gravel path to the houses.Lavender and aromatic herbs beautify the courtyard, and behind the grange out of the wind, you can enjoy the sunshine around the heated swimming pool, on a large terrace with sun beds and teak furniture. So that you don't have to worry about the children, there are no knick-knacks or bothersome objects, the swimming pool has a safety alarm and there is lots of space so they can play to their hearts' content. “Tranquil, idyllic, great location, facilities met expectations.”
We had a terrific stay here. The location is superb for getting around the area. The facilities were just as expected and we all relaxed after seeing sights and wine tasting.
