Description
Gower Bungalow is a two bedroomed property that has undergone complete refurbishment. It has one double bedroom with double bed and one other smaller bedroom (more suitable for two children or adolescents) with adult sized bunk beds. Bathroom has glass door enclosed shower, toilet and hand basin. The open plan kitchen/sitting room is bright, spacious and comfortable, with radio and wall mounted flat screen TV. The kitchen area is fully equipped. The kitchen window looks out onto the back patio areas. Internal French doors lead from this room into the conservatory which has full size dining table and four chairs. The view from here is over Mumbles Hill.
GAS SAFETY CERTIFICATE UPDATED ANNUALLY. constant hot water and gas central heating (on timer twice daily) included in the price for the winter months (October/November/December/January/February/March) Beds are ready made up with freshly laundered and ironed bedding. We supply hand towels, tea towels and shower mat. ( please remember we do not supply large towels)
Gower Bungalow is approximately a 20 minute walking distance to the center of the charming and lovely village of Mumbles with its many restaurants and bars as well as ice cream parlours and cafe culture. The bungalow is quite literally a one minute walk to the Gower coast path, this takes you along to Langland and Caswell bay as well as the more adventurous walker who can continue on the path as far as Pembrokeshire.
The bungalow is an attractive, clean and comfortable self catering experience. The front garden is colourful and has a bench. The back of the bungalow looks over towards Mumbles Hill and is a quiet and peaceful sun trap providing complete privacy. There are two patio areas, the lower patio has a dining table and chairs for 4 people, in addition to a coffee sized table and four comfortable rattan armchairs. The back of the property is completely secure for pet owners who can relax with a meal or drink without worrying about where Fido is.
Further details
Parking is on the forecourt of the bungalow. There is no through traffic on this road as it is a small and quiet mews. Mumbles is the nearest village, it is very lively with lots of shops, restaurant, café bars, great pubs and lots of ice-cream parlours.
The city of Swansea is only 3 miles away and this is an interesting day out for shopping, theatre cinema etc., there are a number of galleries and museums in the city of Swansea. For those rainy days there is plenty of indoor activity for both adults and children. For those visitors who do bring their much loved dogs we ask that the dog not be allowed on furniture and that they not under any circumstances be left alone inside or outside of the property. We also do ask that special care be taken by dog owners to ensure that the bungalow is left clean and tidy and extra effort is made to remove any trace of dog hair.
Further details indoors
We supply hand towels but not bath towels . Central heating is included in price from the beginning of October to the end of April. Electricity is metered but has a generous credit of at least £15 thereafter visitors can use a credit card to topup the meter. This does not add a great deal to the cost of stay and is of course governed by the amount of heating the visitor requires during these warmer months. This does not affect the constant supply of hot water all year round.
The shower room is of a good size and has a powerful electric shower, enclosed by sliding glass doors. Therein also Toilet and Hand basin.
Further details outdoors
The bungalow is set in a small very quiet Mews of six other similar properties. There is parking on the forecourt of the bungalow. The path to the Gower Coastal path is across the road and takes only a few minutes to be walking along the most beautiful Gower Coast.

“Lovely bungalow. Clean, cosy and perfect location.”
Just returned from a 4 night stay in the Gower Bungalow. This bungalow was clean and cosy. Very well equipped with a small welcome pack and even had dog treats for arrival. Highly recommend. 5mins from the beach, perfect for coastal and dog walks, and 5mins drive into Mumbles town for local shops and pubs, which we found also pet friendly. Definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

Response from the owner I’m sorry that this guest was disappointed as this is always a cause of concern and where possible we act immediately on issues brought to our attention. However on this occasion the two complaints made by this visitor are both without any justification. During a phone call from the guest to complain about the meter shortly after her arrival, I told her that there was a £10 credit on the meter left for each new guest, I also told her that the fact of the meter is covered in the information regarding the property, she in her review disputes this in spite of the information having been for the past 10 years been displayed clearly and unambiguously. In the event the guest did not use the meter as the credit was more than enough for her short stay. With regards to the second complaint that the Village of Mumbles is not a five minute walk, she is quite right, however there is nowhere in the information provided that I have made such a claim as she implies. What I have said is that the coastal path from the front door is a two minute walk. I very much welcome reviews that are fair and justified, this one sadly is neither.
