Description

Casa Suenos offers a very comfortable home from home feeling and is located in a very peaceful area of the resort overlooking a beautiful fountain area to the front with a South West facing rear garden for sunbathing and BBQs yet is within easy reach of the resort centre.

We are located a short stroll from the supermarket and El Boulevard with all its bars and restaurants.

The resort has everything you will need for the perfect holiday such as bar's and restaurants, a bank, supermarket and gym. You can book your golf on the resort or play one of the many courses in the area.

We also offer rates for golf parties minimum stay 2 nights.

Flexible change over days. We do our best to fit in with guests flight time but in high season this can be rather difficult. Departure by 11am and arrival after 4pm other arrangements to be agreed prior to arrival.For late arrival a welcome pack can be arranged with our villa management people.CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES AROUND THE SWIMMING POOL!!!!!

Our aim is comfort and enjoyment and we have provided ample crockery and other utensils for our guests. Towels, linen, high chair, travel cot and beach towels are all included. There is also a good selection of family and children's games and a wide range of books. Very comfortable beds with a choice of duvets or throws.

Getting around

The area has a lot to offer and we would highly recommend the hire of a car to fully appreciate and enjoy your stay on the Mar Menor.

Interaction with guest

Keys are available via a key safe at the villa which works well for those arriving late evening or very early morning. We have an on site representative and she can address any issues you may have. We have a folder which contains leaflets on things to see and do along with local maps. You can also find a link to the tourist information office on our website which gives a more in depth choice of activities.

House rules

We request guests to use outdoor shower before using swimming pool to rinse away any excess sun creams as this will help keep pool cleaner during your stay. We do have someone looking after the and they visit several times a week during high season. It is very important that all young children are supervised around the pool at all times.

“We arrived at a 'Building site'.”

I booked this villa in Feb 19 for 13 nights from 29th July 19 to 11th August. Prior to our holiday I emailed the owner on several occasions to request info and I received replies within a few days. Not once was I informed that there was on-going building works on 2 villas, one next door and one 2 doors away. We could not believe our eyes as we arrived at the villa late on 29/7/19. A skip full of rubble on one side of the driveway and our 2nd parking space was filled with tiles on wooden pallets. As we opened the car doors all we could hear was a loud drilling/cutting noise. The noise was continuous as we unloaded the cars and accessed the villa. We opened the rear patio doors to view the garden and pool area to be 'greeted' with more noise and a cloud of dust, which had settled on the patio, dining table and pool. I immediately contacted the owner who arranged for the property manager to visit the next day. The manager spoke to the neighbours in an attempt to cease the building work during our stay (apparently this had been agreed with our villa owner ?) . Unfortunately, the neighbour was keen to progress his work and to be fair he did communicate with myself as to the most convenient times to 'dig up' the drive and complete other noisy activities. My complaint is directed to the owner as she knew that this work had been on going for 2 years and that the street was like a building site. Had I have known that there were on-going works next door, I would not have booked ! In addition to noise and disruption we had little or no air con in the bedrooms for the 1st week. This was an intermittent fault which had occurred during the weeks prior to our visit. Once again you can imagine how we felt after being told that the 1st available engineer was booked for 14th August ( 3 days after we would be leaving). I drove to Torrevieja and paid 70 euros for an air con unit but no concern or offer was made by the owner even though the temps were extremely high during the night and that we had a 5 and 2 year old to consider. Fortunately the manager was able to book an engineer earlier and the air con was fixed for the last 5 nights. The neighbour also ceased the building works during our 2nd week. We made the most of the remainder of our holiday and enjoyed it, however I think the owner did not appreciate the disruption we encountered during our 1st week. If you are considering this villa ensure you ask the right questions, otherwise 'you will be left in the dark'.

Response from the owner In response to this review. We did appreciate the disruption caused to this family and done everything in our power to address all the issues raised. We gave the guests the option to leave the villa the next day if they were dissatisfied with things. We have rented our property for many years and this is our first bad review. The building work that was ongoing next door came as a complete surprise to us when we visited ourselves in late June. As far as we were aware all building work had been completed so when we spoke with the neighbor and gave him the information of our bookings he assured us that no building work would be carried out. With regards to the air conditioning the engineer couldn’t find any fault prior to your stay and the delay getting them back was due to high demand because it was high season. The date given was the next available appointment but we were told that if anything became available before they would give us priority, which they did, all issues you had were beyond our control and we did everything possible to address the problems. After our telephone conversation on the day you arrived I gave you the opportunity to find alternative accommodation but you chose to remain in the villa but had your mind set on financial recompense immediately . Within two days of arriving you were asking me how much I was going to refund you for the inconvenience. This isn’t the actions of someone who was solely interested in having things put right but about how much money you could get back.

“Lovely Villa”

We have just enjoyed a great holiday at Casa Suenos. This is a lovely villa with private pool and gardens set in a quiet cul de sac within the Mar Menor Golf Resort. The villa is beautifully presented and has everything you need to feel at home, and the local amenities within and around the resort are excellent. You don’t need to be a Golfer to enjoy the facilities available and there is so much to see and do in the region that we will soon be planning a return visit so that we can explore more of the beautiful Mar Menor.
