Description
The Stables is a self catering holiday cottage located on a 1,000 acre farm, 4 miles outside New Cumnock, East Ayrshire. The Cottages opened in January 2016.
The cottage has one double and one twin bedroom. A lounge, shower room and modern kitchen. Bed linen / towels / electricity are included in the price.
The cottage has a large garden to the front with private parking for two cars.
Children are welcome. Travel cot, highchair etc. available on request.
Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
The cottage has lots to do in the local area including walking, fishing, golf (only 40 minutes from Troon), Dumfries House, Dark Sky Park. Ayr and Alloway are approximately 30 minutes drive away. New Cumnock train station is a 10 minute drive away with frequent services to Glasgow / Carlisle.Prestwick Airport is only 30/40 minutes drive and Glasgow 1 hour away.
The Stables is a perfect place to get away from it all.
Short breaks and week lets available.
If travelling for work please be aware that the cottage might only sleep 2 or 3 workers depending on sleeping arrangements.

“Perfect location beautiful scenery”
Lovely cottage with everything you need,good location to get away but not far from cumnock where you'll find some major supermarkets and shops.Great for our 2 small dogs as when you close the gates its fully enclosed.Its about 30 mins to the beaches of ayr /prestwick and troon and an hour and half to loch lomond,so Perfect for exploring the Highlands.The hosts Robert and Jan were fantastic and we cant wait to go back in july for a longer stay.

“Roomy, comfortable cottage in lovely location.”
This cottage is very comfortable with a nice big living room and very comfy beds. There is easy parking and a little outside garden and seating area. It is great value for money and has everything you would need as well as being in a good location for exploring locally and further afield. The owners are lovely and it was a very relaxed and enjoyable stay. Saw Barn Owls on several nights just outside the door!

“Peaceful”
A beautiful immaculate cottage,well equipped and cosy.Lovely friendly and helpful hosts. Gorgeous countryside and lots to see and do locally.We visited the beautiful Dumfries House,lots of amazing dog walks.Beaches 30 minutes drive away.Rode the gorgeous Blackstone Clydesdales This was just the escape needed from these difficult Covid times.

“Great location”
This is a well equipped and comfortable cottage in a great location for visiting the many attractive places in Northumberland. Pamela and her husband are kind hosts and were very welcoming.

“Excellent accomodation”
Superb cottage in quiet location. We visited the Dark Sky Observatory as this was close, as was the Galloway Forest. Very friendly hosts and everything you would want in the accomodation.
