“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “Perfect for a relaxing weekend!” Joe and Pat's cottage is great! The cottage was very clean, well-maintained and well-equipped. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend - in the winter, so I can't comment on the water fun but I'll bet it's great! I can say the fireplace worked just perfectly. Joe and Pat are great to work with and were extremely helpful with information about restaurants and various activities in the Finger Lakes. We certainly hope to be back again - maybe when it's warmer and we can take advantage of the beautiful lakefront area at the cottage. Thanks for sharing your great cottage, Joe and Pat!

“Highly recommend for great food, lodging, live music,and best of” There is a small group of ladies, three of us, who like to travel for wine tastings. We found a hotel in Richfeild Springs on a lake from trip advisor reviews, close to Cooperstown where our wine tasting was going on. When we returned to the Lake House that evening we sat by a fireplace in the living room and the door was open to the second floor and could hear clearly three men talking about a battle of the Potomac. Then they talked about Pickett's charge and on the 4th of July of '63 a train 14 miles long with Lee's wounded. We did notice an accent when they spoke but could not place it. The interesting part of this review came after our return home. It appears the Hotel is haunted (I am not one to believe in ghosts) but when we told our husbands about these three men talking about General Meade and Pickett's charge etc. and how many of their friends were lost ,They Looked at Bruce who teaches history and in disbelieve, informed us this was later known as the Battle of Gettysburg and ended on July 4th of 1863. This was 146 years ago to the day we were sitting there listening to these civil war veterans and 20 years to the day that the Lake House opened in 1843. Now all six of us will defintely be returning next july 4th to the Lake House for the Ghosts and great conversation.

“Awesome Columbus Weekend” Myself and 4 friends stayed here for a long Columbus Day weekend. This place is just what we needed. We are all from NYC so the location was extermely convenient for us. The Catskills are just a short drive from the city...well worth the drive. The house was great. Very clean, spaceous, and accommodating. It is located very close to the town of Saugerties and close to Woodstock and Hunter Mtn. The owners are very helpful and generous. I highly recommend this house.

“Incredible home” This was the perfect home for my husband, kids and grandkids. I can't begin to describe how incredible this home was. From the amazing outdoor kitchen, magnificent landscaping, the toasty warm huge pool, with seating enough for our supersized family of 20 with 4 grandbabies. This home was able to house us all comfortably. The inside of the house was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The high count sheets were a dream to sleep on (cute pun intended). The air conditioning was set to the perfect temperature. Every day all of us lived in the pool and at night enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets over the bay. To say we loved this home is an understatement. We are still all talking about the amazing vacation. The owner was really really nice to deal with and made us feel welcomed.
