Location:

See map general area picture.

The resort is about 5 min walk towards the mountain up from the police

station / Patong Hospital, and 200 meters from the main road full of shops.

So is quiet at the end of a dead end street. C31/C32 on the 6th floor

is at the end so no walkers by, making it even more quiet.

thanks, Erik

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS :

20min walk : Jungceylon shopping centre:

The International Shopping & Leisure Destination at Patong Phuket

20min walk : Patong Thai boxing stadium

20min walk : Banzaan Market

25min walk : Bangla Rd

20min walk : Patong Beach

5 min drive : Simon cabaret

8 min drive : Go kart racing

8 min drive : Shooting range

20 min drive : Fantasea (elephants performing on stage and more)

20 min drive : Golf

25 min drive : Rawai, Chalong, Naiharn : Located at the southern tip of phuket, arguably

the best and interesting beaches in Phuket and the gateway to the islands. Here

we have 4 main beaches down here, all diferent and interesting. The main one

being Nai harn with the lake outlet (kids love it) with the island on the lake and the nearby temple.

We mainly enjoy 3 types of boat daytrips:

1/ We rent a whole longtail boat and spend the day on coral island, 1 boat takes up to 7

people and takes 35 min, but we don't go to the main overcrowded area.

2/ Our favorite, a larger cruiser 2 decks, day trip to Racha Jai (Big) and Racha Noi (Small) islands.

Starts with a morning pickup at you hotels.

The nice thing about this trip is there is something for all, we take it slow taking about

1 and a half hours to reach Ratch Jai whilst dragging fishing lines behind the boat.. this provides

a lovely freshly made tum yum when anchored at Ratcha Jai bay, eating on the 2nd deck enjoying the

seabreeze whilst others snorkel and enjoy the bay. Then we head out to deeper waters where you

can cast your line and see what nature brings you to take home, then the relaxing trip back

to chalong bay watching the islands roll past under the eyes of the Big Buhdda perched upon

the mountain overlooking Chalong bay. Waiting at the pier will be your minivan to take

you back to your hotels.

3/ Speedboat to Ratcha Jai, starting with being picked up at your hotel, 25 min to Chalong pier

for a coffee and processing, then omboard a 400 HP speedboat taking 35 min to Ratch Jai..

Offload onto the pier there and spoend the day on the lovely main beach (where hotel people

pay a lot more than you do to share the same sand) A complmetary buffet lunch 10 min walk inland,

and later back to Chalong where your minivan awaits you.

Sometimes we like to take the pickup and travel south along the coast to Krabi which is becomming

more and more popular as Phuket gets filled. Its 4-5 hours south, however, what normally happens

is you buy a ticket, for... go therr in the minibus from hell. Then you are dumped there,

get a hotel ans a key then you walk up and down and after one hour think now what, you still

have 3 days there... Wehn we go there we stop at national parks, waterfalls, temples of special

and further, mineral pools.. the list goes on. Last time with our canadian guests we stay overnight

and a lot of the locals came just to see us.. Then we filled up the truck , rented a whole longtail

and spent a majical day visiting and enjoying several islands, as they are much closer than Phuket

islands buy longltail thus making it a lot less an expensive option.

These are all things which will cost toursts 3-6 times more.

===============================================================

NEW: Multistay! If you like you can move between the Patong condoes

and the Rawai house, as many people like to experience the very different

areas and thus get more out of their vacation. Patong is fast and loud

(peacefull at the condoes though) and everything costs more.

Rawai area is a lot more laidback with quiant streets ideal for

scootering around exploring the many things here, also is gateway

to the islands.

Rent scooters without handing over you passport....

===============================================================

THE GOOD AND BAD OF PATONG VS RAWAI

Rawai

Good:

Open spaces with less people

Larger area to explore

Area includes Chalong, Rawai,

NaiHarn, Kata over the hill past

Elephants, ATV's the viewpoint,

Sunset bars on the hill.

More spread out so a scooter better

More Scenic

More slow

Less Trafic

More Parking

Nice for walk,scooter,bike

Better Beaches

More Beaches: Sleep under the trees...

nice walks around the lovely lake next

to the nai harn beach

People more friendly

Cheaper

Gateway to the Islands

Better food if you know where to go

Real Muay thai / MMA traing camps,

they come from the world all over

to train here, from beginers to pro's.

Staying with us we can take you out

2 times a day, translate for you

get you the best shopping and deals

especially if you dont speak english

which is also a problem here... Noi

is Thai and clever.. best shopping with her

Rawai

Bad:

Not as many dance clubs

Not as many bars

Not as many Ladyboys

Not as many Shows

Private plunge pool with high wall

so do what you like.

Patong

Bad:

Much more chance you will get ripped off

Les value as there are many tourists so quality is low

More expensive

Crowded

Mafia headquarters..

Sellers more aggresive

Patong

Good:

More bars and restaurants and clubs

More Ladyboys

More sexual options (and more expensive)

For Men:

Patong is bar girl haven.. but the girls

can be very cunning and set you up

(spike drinks, extortion, extended Bills and more..)

Bar girls can be 2x - 4x more expensive than in the south

easier to find one/two that you like.. but that means they

are busier. Southern area we know some bar owners, they know

who their girls are and can't afford to have any complaints

as many of expats live here and know what is who.

For ladies:

Patong seems like good shopping but it's quite more expensive

than Phuket town or the south. Well even in the south area of

Karon 10 min out of Patong) is getting to be like Patong now..

If you like to Party Patong has many Dance clubs, however,

don't expert to be treated like back home, the male tourist

is how to say, well, nice girls call them pigs..

As for thai guys, they also want to get paid. Patong has

a few goodlooking boys around the bars, you can see they

take their work seriously, with good workouts, but they

will most likely drink water when you order vodka for them.

Again, the expats here in the south will enjoy some western good

chats... ;like 3 lovely German gentlemen we met lately

are not interested an any girl they can't relate to and

enjoy their intellectual side. One the 2nd time he came

brought his own lovely Thai girl from Germany.

Shopping! go to Town with Noi.. she will fill your

shopping dreams! Master shopper. And dont' bring bags

of cloths and stuff. Minimall lugage = maximim

shopping, don't forget family and friends gifts!

Stay away from gem shops unless with a thai friend!

They have huge markups and pay off your friendly driver!

Close enough to bangla and patong night spots yet far away enough to be quiet when you want to sleep. Hire a scooter you need one to look around anyways. Large clean room, beautiful swimming pool and … More

Response from the owner Jamie is a very nice, funny and thoughtfull guy, we has a few good times together, he even brought over a huge Barra which we ate for days.. Stayed an extra night which he wanted to pay for.. nevermind that.. Place was left clean.. elec usage normal, not like the guy in the next room smoking on the balcony with the Aircon and doors open leaving me with a power bill 4 times what it should be and a smoky smell which is hard to kill... , broken sink and bloody sheets... Hope to see him again.. Happy travels, Erik and Noi
