Description
Gispsy Beach Bungalows Lombok has two bungalows inspired from the traditional rice storage houses in recycled timber and thatched roofs. They offer all the modern comfort. The two traditional bungalows are located on a private beach in the magic Sekotong peninsula. Just across are the 11 island of the Gili Sekotong.
The Gipsy Beach Bungalows are large (35m2) and comfortable. They both have sea views and a bathroom with shower and natural stone floors.
Each bungalow has a large king size bed, in-door lounge and outside veranda with sea views. In addition they are equipped with a fan, a drinking water fountain, a flat screen TV and DVD reader.
The 2 bungalows are rented individually or together.
The bungalows are very romantic and suit divers, beach lovers and honeymooners.
Gipsy Beach is a private beach. Next door there is a restaurant which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. They can also cook the fish the guests have caught themselves.
The resort has a traditional boat. The captain, Maesun resides on the resort. He picks up the customers, organises discovery boat tours of the islands, snorkelling and fishing expeditions.
Pelangan village can be reached by scooter or boat. Pelangan is a gold digger village. visit it and watch the diggers extract the golden nuggets rigght in front of you.

Your wooden private bungalow has a rice straw thatched roof (or alang alang).
Its architecture is inspired from rice warehouses.

Where is it?: Gipsy Beach Bungalows are located in South West Lombok, on the Sekotong Peninsula facing the 11 Sekotong Gili Islands. The islands are sprinkled in the bay in front of the resort making a lovely landscape. Some island are inhabited some are not. One of them is so beautiful it is called Honeymoon Island. Gede Island is just across the bay in front of Gipsy Beach.
Pelangan Village is 90 mn drive from Lombok International Airport (Praya).
The resort is 5mn by boat – we organise the transfer – from the Pelangan Village.
What to do:
Diving: We have arrangements with two PADI diving centres. We can organise day dive packages and multi-day dive packages. Both centres offer discovery dives for non certified divers and Padi courses. The Sekotong Gilis are renown for their diving site. They suit divers from all levels. The most eastern dive sites are more challenging and will please advanced divers. If you plan to dive, please contact us.
Surfing. 30 mn minutes away are two famous surfing breaks, Desert Point (Bangko Bangko) and Mekaki Beach
Fishing, Islands Discovery, Snorkelling: our captain Maesun organises half day discovery boat tours of the islands, snorkelling expeditions and fishing expeditions.
Discovery of Pelangan village where most of the population are gold diggers.
Lay on the beach and do nothing.
