Description
The cottage is located on a property of 3 ha. There are 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, lounge area, dining room, veranda with bar, terrace and Sun terrace with sun loungers. There is also a BBQ place. It is centrally located for day trips to bv. Braga, Guimaraes, Porto, Vila Real, Amarante, Penafiel, Aveiro, etc. .. The domain is 1 km from the village of Abragão where there are different restaurants, cafe's, shops and bakeries. Each 8th and 26th of the month there is a local market. It is a very quiet location surrounded by eucalyptus forests, vineyards and orchards. There is also a swimming pool. Nearby you can visit one of the oldest Romanesque churches of Portugal, a menhir, rock paintings or an old Celtic village.
The Tâmega River 5 km are with different beaches and 10 km are you at the Douro River. For the Port wine lovers go to Regua (capital of the Port) 65 km to a real Port to drink. Every Monday you can go to de Espinho (by the sea) for Portugal's biggest market there, a fish to eat and after a good swim in the Atlantic Ocean. On the Quinta is there documentation available.

“Lovely quiet holiday home”
For sure there are two main advantages of this home - first it's convenient location, which close to centre of village with two food shops and few cafes, also 10 min by car to big Continent and Lidl supermarket. Also only 30 min to Porto by car - so it's possible to enjoy both big city and country side conveniently. Second big plus of this holiday home is outstanding beauty around and view to valley. There so quiet and peaceful around and yet not too fat from civilization - what we could demand more. Also home has kitchen with cooker, oven, microwave and fridge/frizer. It was convenient for us because with two young kids not always convinient to go to restaurant. There 3 acres of land around holiday home, which belong to the same owner and he kindly allows to guest wonder around to enjoy idillic landscapes and views around. There lots of citrus trees and few of chestnuts - our boys collected even few chestnuts for roasting in barbecue. Also, Peter the host is very welcoming and friendly, left for us fresh bread rolls, bowl of fresh fruits, homemade kiwi jam and superb local vine - thank you Peter! We would definitely recommend this holiday home for tourists who are looking peace and quiet as well as Eco turists and those who would like to learn more about history and culture of Portugal country side, vine making and etc.
