Description

Set amongst lush gardens of beautiful Oleander, Hibiscus and Figs, with it's own olive grove, Santa Chiara sits in a quiet river valley near to the village of Pierantonio in Northern Umbria. The house offers fantastic uninterrupted views down the green valley with the imposing figure of Monte Tezio dominating the horizon.

With easy access to the main North/South E45, guests can reach all the major sights of Northern Umbrian and Southern Tuscany including Assisi, Cortona, Gubbio, Lake Trasimeno, Perguia, Spoleto and Todi. Meanwhile Florence, Siena, Pisa, Rome and the Adriatic Coast, are all within easy day tripping distance.

On a secluded sun-trapped terrace is the 10 by 5 metre swimming pool; designed to be child friendly, with Roman steps and a shallow ledge around its perimeter. The area is fully fenced with access via a gate, there are ample sun loungers and umbrellas and a picnic bench next to the children's play area.

Rancale

This apartment has a wonderful, private, south facing terrace shaded from the height of the sun by a pergola with sun sail; it's an ideal place to enjoy the unspoilt views of the valley whilst enjoying an al fresco meal.


Leading from the terrace there is a garden with children's play area. From the main front door steps lead to the first floor. There is a wrought iron hand rail and at the top of the stairs is a built-in wooden stair gate.

Throughout Rancale there are barrel vaulted ceilings, handmade terracotta floors and exposed stone walls. The living space is particularly spacious and light, benefiting from a south westerly aspect and a total of four large windows. There is a traditional brick archway connecting the comfortable lounge, which has two large sofas (one of which is a sofa bed) to the open plan kitchen/dinning area. The fully fitted kitchen comes complete with a dishwasher, double sink, electric fan oven, five ring gas hob, microwave and large fridge/freezer.

There are two large double bedrooms, one master suite with king sized bed and en-suite shower room, the other with twin beds and a further family bathroom with bathtub and separate shower cubicle.

All windows are fitted with Juliet bars for safety and external chestnut shutters allow guests to regulate the heat and light flow into the apartment. The lounge and bedroom windows have built-in mosquito nets.
