Description

Our 3-bedroom holiday home sits on a tranquil hilltop of pines and oaks on the border between Vaucluse and Alpes de Haute Provence in the protected Luberon National Park along a popular cycling route and just a few minutes away from Golf du Luberon, the only golf course in the park territory. It has stunning views and our large, private swimming pool is surrounded by terraced gardens below the house. We own 30 acres of land immediately around the house, and beyond that are the vineyards, woodlands and farmland of our neighbours. There's plenty of privacy but the Luberon and the excitement of Alpes de Haute Provence are at your doorstep. There is horse-riding nearby. It's truly a slice of Provencal life.

The perched village of Pierrevert, which hosts the only 18-hole golf course within the Luberon's borders, lies 5 kilometres east of the property, and La Bastide des Jourdans is the same distance to the west. Marseille airport is an hour's drive.

The house is absolutely private. We have a manager who lives in a village nearby. The balcony of the house offers spectacular star-gazing and views of Pierrevert and through the trees the distant Mont Sainte-Victoire, made familiar in the 19th and 20th century paintings of Cézanne, whose hometown of Aix-en-Provence is just 30 minutes away. The nearest substantial town is Manosque, birthplace of Provencal writer Jean Giono and gateway to the Gorge du Verdon. The villa is for rent year-round. It has central heating and all the amenities of home in the heart of Provence.

We are often asked about the pool. It measures 5.5m x 12 m (including the step area).
