House Shale for up to 6 people
The House of Lagariça, one of the House Shale, consists of 2 bedrooms, each composed of double and single bed, toilet, kitchen, dining room and living room. To be enjoyed by the whole landscape we have the terrace. We have capacity for 6 Adults and possibility of including an extra bed for a child and a bed rails.
The House of Lagariça are located in a cluster of old houses shale, in which they are connected by a set of friendly walkways (Quelhas). With maximum capacity of 6 people Lagariça House is the ideal place for families and friends enjoying a single location. Pay us a visit and get a taste of what our best people can do.
Besides being able to dine on the outdoor terrace, has the ability to walk freely around the village, where in addition to a shale crowded area, has yet to explore the 5 km of river to the nearest village, Penafalcão. Under the summer sun, are waiting for their immense wells of fresh water and river beaches right there next.
The Cunqueiros, is a traditional village with a considerable Shale cluster. It is pleasant throughout the year, its banks provide us with fresh water without stopping and summer their wells are our company. In winter the snow can make its appearance, but the fireplace warms us and the smell hangs in the air. Agriculture and the products of this land are varied. The harvest in late summer, the arbutus, the cherry at the end of spring, nuts, olive the beginning of winter, are examples of what good this land can offer.
What to do in Village
The best advice passes right by the discovery. The let get lost inside the village and its old town, explore the pine forest, the streams and gardens in shale slopes around the streams. Not to be missed, a visit to the Olive Mill (this works only for 15 days a year), the old sawmill / mill the edge of the river (where you can imagine it works in the past, and where you can still see some instruments) , the ancient sources that spring fresh water, mills, harvest, pick olives, proof liquors at Café da Eira (always speak with Luis or Dona Julia), bathing in the river (in Coca, or Well Rosa), finally break the discovery ...
