Description
Built in 1936 for the local cinema owner (sadly long gone) the property has retained its exceptional signs of grace and grandeur with spacious and generous rooms conveniently on one level.
Providing up to 4 double bedrooms, bathroom (bath, basin and bidet) and WC (WC and basin), the modern kitchen includes gas oven, microwave and fridge freezer. A living/dining room and entry sun room foyer complete the accommodation. The house has steps to enter, as well as adjacent to access the gardens. Regretfully it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Seating on the terrace in the evening, you can enjoy the setting sun with views of the neighbours vineyard. Depending on the time of year you visit, the local sounds may include tractors attending to their meadows and fields, the sound of the local hunting society and their dogs in search of trophies including wild boar, tree cutting and seasonal preparation of the woodlands, the flow of water through the nearby stream feeding into the Bormida river that skirts both sides of the village. Happy voices of the cycle teams often pass climbing or descending the hilly ground beyond the village. Don't forget to visit the Roman toll bridge that spans the river behind the village or the pallone elastico handball games if one is happening during your stay.
You can enjoy your breakfast and sunset cocktails on the terrace, or laze quietly on the lower gardens listening to the sounds of the country.
The home is spacious. Ideally a family or group of 6 shall enjoy it to the max. Larger groups need to take into account that the infrastructure of hot water replenishment is a little slow and can lead to shortfalls during peak demand.

Payment terms. 50% on booking, 50% payable 6 weeks prior to the stay. Credit cards not accepted. Cancellation fees shall apply if the stay is cancelled within 6 weeks of the stay.
Due to the size of the property, stays shorter than three days shall attract an additional rate premium of 15% to compensate for the additional service and interruption to the most frequently books periods of weekends or full weeks.
The property is capable to accommodate one or two families. If however, smaller numbers are interested, please contact the Owner.

The house is surrounded by its own garden planted with specimen trees which have now matured to prominence on the landscape. Secluded from prying eyes, you are however master of your domain and can see the village, roads and hills from the privacy of the house and its garden. The levels undulate due to the terrain. Parents are asked to take account that due to the size of the garden (approx 3500sqm), supervision of children may be required.
