Description
The House of the People's Fund is a house transformed into a Local Accommodation unit. Short stay accommodation is provided in a furnished house. Very old country house with 200 m2, surrounded by vineyards and terrace with 48 m2. Kitchen equipped with crockery, small appliances and fireplace. Two double bedrooms and one single with shared bathroom. One double room with private bathroom. This room is independent from the main house. Located in a small village just 4 kms from Peso da Régua and a mere twenty minutes from Vila Real and Lamego. Between the blue sky, the light and dark green, the yellow, orange, red and brown tones of the vines and olive trees, of the hills and valleys, is Laurentim or Lourentim as it appears in older documents. This small village in the heart of the vineyard Douro was regimented in times gone by; still with a gore on the river Douro this village is an invitation to rest and serenity. Here, surrounded by tranquility, is the oldest house in this small village. This sixteenth-century manor house has been in the family for generations. Integrated into a small farm, the present owners remember with emotion the times of children related to the family, the work in the vineyard and the countryside, the domestic animals, the love and respect to the land. Today we want to put at your disposal this CASA where you can rest for a few days alone, or with family or friends, participate in fun walks, visit ancestral monuments and enjoy magnificent landscapes and heritage, wines and gastronomy.
