La Cantina is right on the medieval wall of a pristine Umbrian village with flagstone balcony and terrace overlooking the idyllic countryside and pool! This self-catering apartment has stunning views from every single room. Perfect for honeymooners or small family of four. On two levels: village street level has large flagstone terrace that opens to living room through double glass doors with kitchen, dining and living room with floor to ceiling windows for maximum views; upstairs is one king bedroom with two view windows, one bedroom with two single beds and view and bathroom with view and extra-large walk-in shower. Enjoy village life which is the authentic experience of Italy and have a view and pool! Just steps to the main piazza where there are restaurants, bar/café and shops, butcher, groceries, bakery, gift shop, post office, bank...all you need is in our village where you will be welcomed warmly. Piegaro is a safe and welcoming village right in the heart of Italy, in Umbria and on the border of Tuscany. In less than an hour you can explore Umbria and also Tuscany. Train station in Chiusi is just 15 minutes away and exit to A-1 Autostrada. Every week we give a free tour and wine tasting at a local vineyard and are on hand to deliver concierge service if you wish. We can arrange local auto rentals, cooking lessons, bike rentals and have extensive booklet and guide books with suggested itineraries. Free and safe parking, free WiFi and free laundry. Enjoy village life in your own fully equipped apartment.

Getting around

Renting a car is recommended to see all the sights on offer in both Tuscany and Umbria. Cars can be rented at arrival airports or at our local train station in Chiusi, 15 minutes from our village of Piegaro.

Interaction with guest

We will provide a complete concierge experience, as we live in the village. As much or as little interaction as our guests wish. Having lived in Italy for 20 years we can provide advise for touring. We do give guests a detailed itinerary book. Free tour of village on arrival day, free local wine tour and tasting and tour of glass museum with buffet of local products at 6 Euro per person. This is an ideal way to experience the 750 years of glass making history starting in 1292 in our property.

Response from the owner We have always enjoyed your stays with us. Interacting and becoming a part of village life is really the way to have an authentic Italian experience. Sitting in the main piazza with a glass of wine and talking with the villagers is a great way to improve your language skills. Piegaro is centrally located with all amenities, but within just a few minutes guests can enjoy several villages with great restaurants and views.
