Description
An oceanfront, spacious duplex apartment dedicated to relaxed living, on the fashionable west coast. The top floor has high, pickled -pine ceilings to create a lofty atmosphere. From the kitchen you can look along the lounge and out to sea. White Sands is a small development completed in 2007 with secure parking, located just outside Speightstown. There is a lovely beach 25 feet in front of the apartment where turtles come to lay their eggs in season. Occasionally you will glimpse a monkey in the vicinity. The fabulous beach at Port St Charles is 5 minutes stroll away. A range of water sports is available locally from scuba diving to water skiing and snorkelling. World class restaurants and golf are within easy reach. The area is safe, the people are friendly and they know how to dance!
Please note that in 2018 the Barbados government introduced a room levy which is currently $8.75 per room per night. We are obliged to charge this on top of the rental.

There are two double bedrooms, both with airconditioning, ceiling fans and their own bathrooms. The well equipped kitchen has granite work surfaces, a large cooker and microwave plus a large American style fridge freezer with an ice machine, . The dining table can seat 6 in comfort. A Bose Ipod docking station and large flat screen TV are located in the airconditioned lounge which is furnished in style. The utility area on the lower floor has a washer dryer. The bookcase is filled with novels, history books and games. Good quality linen and towels are provided along with a plentiful supply of beach towels. Assorted snorkelling gear is provided along with portable beach chairs and an indispensible cool box to supply chilled drinks on the many beaches visitors will want to explore. If required,a maid is available at a small extra cost to clean the apartment on a daily basis.

A car is desirable but not essential as there is a good local bus service and a plentiful supply of taxis.The car park gates are operated by remote control. Scuba diving with 'Reefers & Wreckers' in Speightstown can arrange dives, for example, to the large wreck which stands at a maximum depth of 140 feet. Westmoreland and Sandy Lane Golf courses are about 15 minutes drive away. There are two art galleries in Speightstown and a museum. Whether you are a regular church-goer or not, the local churches make you most welcome.
One of the excursions to consider is a day sailing on a catamaran along the west coast, spotting the homes of the numerous celebrities who live on the west coast.

“Perfect home from home....in the sun!”
This delightful apartment is a home from home in a traditional part of Barbados. This was not our first visit to this locality but one can never tire of the friendly people, the unspoilt beaches, the range of varied and good quality eateries and Barbados’s wonderful climate, punctuated by welcome showers which create such a lush vegatation. Kevin and Sheila have thought of everything to provide a very welcoming and comfortable experience whilst Sonja was on hand to address the few minor issues that arose promptly and efficiently. The sizeable living accommodation leads out on to a balcony with wonderful views over the Caribbean Sea and the apartment is airy without any need to use the air conditioning, provided the balcony doors are open. The bedrooms have good storage space and are also light and airy. The kitchen is well stocked, with great work spaces making self catering easy. Thank you both for contributing so much to making this such a memorable holiday. We’ll be back!

“Fabulous Holiday”
What a gem we found. We arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport and stop off at a supermarket to pick up some shopping . He was a lovely man who told us all about the wonderful decorated roundabouts that were celebrating 50 years of independence. On arrival at the apartment we turned the key in the door to find a fantastic home that was ours for the week. We had an amazing week, used the local bakery , went on the reggae bus to Bridgetown, visited Jumas as for an excellent meal. We were even invited to a locals party where we met a lot of people. Eddies supermarket was visited regularly and the Bristol Beach Bar became a favourite to watch the sunset. All in all it was a fantastic apartment with everything anyone on holiday could ever want, plus more and we would love to return for another holiday in paradise. Many thanks P local kaioke night.
