“Wonderful stay!” We had a wonderful trip and the apartment was even better than we expected. We had no trouble getting ahold of Sonja when we arrived and she was ready and waiting for us after our taxi arrived. The apartment was very clean, very well furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. Really like a home away from home although the apartment is slightly larger than our house so we reveled in the extra space! We spent the first week mostly hanging around Speightstown, going to the beach a lot and exploring the town. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning; it was wonderful to sit outside and watch the waves. Our son especially loved to stand on the balcony and watch the cars go by (go figure). We did have to rearrange some of the decorations to be out of his reach, but that was a minor thing and I think I put everything back in its proper place. :) The beach was very nice and private; we were the only people using it the vast majority of the time we went down there. All the rocks and coral did make it a little hard to wade with our two year old but we did find some nice sandy spots and he had fun going out a little deeper with us holding him. We spent the second week renting a car and exploring more of the island and found that Speightstown was a very good base for going to most of the attractions that we wanted to see like the wildlife reserve and animal Flower Cave. Overall, we had an excellent trip and would recommend Barbados, and this apartment, to anyone seeking a fun and relaxing family vacation.

“Happy Holidays!” We rented the condo for the first two weeks in February 2010. This was our first time renting a condo rather than staying in an all inclusive resort and we were not disappointed at all. As I matter of fact, I believe we seen a lot more than had we stayed on a resort. The condo was very clean and well kept in a quiet neighbourhood. It was close to the beach and water activities. The town was close by as indicated (a short 10 min walk). The local people are very friendly and always willing to help. Peter was great and went out of his way to help out. He was only a phone call away. We travelled on the regular transit buses quite a bit - amazing for only $1.50 bajan where you can go. I would recommend this condo to anyone and I will definitely be returning (hopefully next year)! Thanks Nick and Peter, you were both very helpful. “Perfect location for a relaxing holiday in Barbados” This a lovely villa set in a well tended estate, located in the hills not far from Speightstown. As the name suggests, the villa enjoys a cooling breeze making for a great retreat from the heat along the coastline. It is well appointed and comfortable throughout and is adjacent to the clubhouse pool from which the sun-downer views are stunning! You need to hire a car, but driving is straightforward in Barbados - just remember to book a car well in advance in high season, as demand is high then. All in all a great place to stay, and a good base to tour the island from.

Paradise in Barbados

This villa is set in a complex about a mile from Speightstown; it is a perfect base from which you can explore the West Coast and beyond. The rooms are spacious and clean, with fresh linen regularly provided. There is always help on hand to assist with any problems. The complex has a communal hot tub, swimming pools, tennis courts and a gym, so there is something for everyone! Claire (the owner) is extremely helpful, and knows the island better than most locals! She regularly checks with you to ensure all is well (the bottle of rum which she left for us was well appreciated, but seemed to evaporate in the heat!) Island Breeze truly lives up to its name; although we loved exploring the island, my family and I enjoyed coming back to relax on the balcony with the soothing breezes to cool us down. I, for one, cannot wait to return. Staying here will add an extra 20% to the enjoyment gained from a holiday in Barbados; it is truly paradise in Paradise. … see more

The owners are wonderful people. The accommodations available are ample, clean and functional. I miss being there! I will definitely be making plans to return and stay at any one of their available apartments. It’s becoming a bit of a home away from home. Beat the resorts! A wonderful holiday

We stayed at "Coral Sands" for a four week period from 20th November 2011 and had a marvellous time. I unhesitatingly recommend it, It is hard to imagine a better place for a wonderful holiday in the sun. The comfortable apartment is well equipped and has everything you will need to enjoy your stay. Even beach towels, chairs and snorkelling equipment are provided free of charge, Everything is so close at hand. The nearest beach is twenty paces from the front door of the apartment, Speightstown centre with its shops and restaurants is a further short distance away and the Bus Station, which provides cheap and efficient transport to the rest of the island, is literally just around the corner. Speightstown is a pleasant town with one or two very interesting buildings.The local museum, known as arlington House. is well worth visit. One of our favourite places to eat was the Fishermans Pub which comes highly recommended for good quality Bajan food at a great price. The weather throughout our stay was fantastic and whilst we had rain perhaps one day in four it in no way detracted from our enjoyment as it was soon over and if anything provided a cool interlude in an otherwise hot day. The owners of the apartment are great people to deal with and Sonja, who represents them locally, is exceptionally helpful and goes out of her way to ensure that you enjoy your stay. Simply Fabulous

I recently concluded a fabulous vacation at Schooner Bay 108. The villa was immaculate, tastefully furnished and utterly comfortable with all the desired amenities. The property is on a beautiful sandy white beach that was tranquil and a pleasure to relax on. There was also a pool and even though I did not use gym, it was well laid out and well kept. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the service at the villa and the island. I am home now, but my heart is longing to return soon. … see more

Absolutely Wonderful

The condo is well situated, especially for a family with small children. The access to the beach is extremely close and convenient, and Heywoods Beach is perfect for small children (mine were 1, 3, and 5). The condo is spacious, and well appointed - I especially appreciated the laundry facilities with the small children! Peter, the landlord, was amazing - he was solicitous without hovering, and was a great resource that made our stay perfect! For example, he (and his lovely wife) arranged for a glass bottom boat tour for us when he heard what some people were trying to charge us when soliciting us on the beach (his contact was almost half the price, for over double the time and amazing service). He also drove me to my work at UWI every morning, which was incredibly helpful. The next time I go back to Barbados, I will stay there again, and even more importantly I am recommending it to my colleagues. … see more
