Enjoy the stay at your holiday cottage set in a rural location.

Le Haut Hamel is in a small rural hamlet about 3km from the nearest town, Torigni Sur Vire. Here, you will find shops for local provisions, a supermarket, bakers, butchers, post office, banks, restaurants and a local tourist office. There is a picturesque lake where you can hire pedal boats, go fishing, have a quiet picnic, or go for a stroll and enjoy the local scenery. Across the road from the lake is a 17th Century Chateau.

Here you will also find a children’s playground and crazy golf .

There is a market just outside of the town hall on Monday mornings

Changeover day will be Saturday to Saturday of the rental period or other days by request. Please contact the owner for any special arrangements outside of the usual booking period.

We will require a separate returnable security deposit of £100.00 to be paid with your final balance to cover against possible damage and breakages. Returnable up to two weeks after your holiday departure home.

We can also supply a box of logs for the open fire in the lounge at €5.00 per box payable to our caretaker at the end of the holiday.

The holiday cottage comprises a fitted kitchen with electric oven & gas hob, large fridge / freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The sitting room has exposed beams with an open fireplace and a Hi-Fi with CD & cassette tape player, TV with English Freesat channels, & French Freeview type channels with VCR, and DVD player.

There is a light airy dining room with French doors opening out to the small enclosed garden. The bathroom has a combined bath and shower, with a separate W.C. Utility room with washing machine. The house benefits from gas central heating. Take the stairs up to the first floor where there are three inter-connecting bedrooms; one double bedroom with an antique carved four poster bed, and two twin bedded rooms with views out to the neighbouring countryside. A cot, high chair, and stair gate are also provided.

Small hatchback cars can be parked on the gravel path in the garden property. Larger vehicles can be parked to next to an adjacent barn to the property.
