Description from owner

Description

Middle Ninfa farm is located in historic and beautiful landscape in south-east Wales, close to the market town of Abergavenny, famous for its food, cycling and many other festivals.

The name Ninfa means cottage of the the charcoal burners in old Welsh as the manufacture of iron was the main local industry when it was built 3 centuries ago high on the old parish road from the village of Llanfoist over the Blorenge mountain to Blaenavon.

Its 23 acres of broadleaved woodland and flower rich meadows lie within the Brecon Beacons National Park on the edge of the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape World Heritage Site and immediately below the Punchbowl lake and beech woodland owned by the Woodland Trust.

The bunkhouse accommodates 6 people in a converted barn adjacent to the main farmhouse. It is fully self-catering with gas cooker, microwave, fridge, shower and toilet. The groundfloor comprises the lounge and dining area with double divan and heating from a coal effect gas fire set in a stone fireplace. Upstairs on a mezzanine floor reached by a spiral staircase there are four single beds. Guests can also use the seating area beside a small pond and stream outside.

Please note that we do not provide linen so guests must bring sleeping bags or duvets, towels etc

As well as the bunkhouse/cottage Middle Ninfa Farm is also one of the UK's leading small camp sites with 11 pitches widely spaced around the farm meadows.

Many guests come for the wonderful walking in the area and guides are available for walks and mountain biking routes direct from the farm.

Guests are welcome to wander around the farm and there are signposted farm walks: a paradise for kids.

“Beautiful place”

We had a lovely time staying in the bunkhouse at middle ninfa farm. The area is beautiful for walking and the owners were friendly and welcoming. We felt very at home in the Bunk house and were cosy in front of the fire on a wet day. We will be returning.
