Description

The most recent barn conversion at "CORNISH BARN HOLIDAYS"

A two storey barn conversion that we have converted from the original cow shed and hay loft beside the main farm house.

Totally private and quiet, there are only the two of us living in the main farm house, so no noisy children, animals or machinery! It has been designed along the same lines as the hugely successful Granary that we completed a few years ago.

The front stable door opens into the slate flagstone floored hall with doors to the utility area and hanging space. The ground floor bedroom has a comfy king size bed with TV and dual aspect sunny windows. The large en suite modern bathroom is equipped with under floor heating a lovely deluge shower and a freestanding double ended bath, with dimmable overhead lighting, for the ultimate in relaxation.

The wooden open tread stairs lead up to the light and airy living, dining and kitchen area with high vaulted ceiling, huge beams, solid oak floors and lots of interesting features, the addition of the new oak and glass sunroom has really made the most of the views across the fields and into your own private garden, whilst also being designed to give the maximum amount of privacy.

The patio doors lead out onto the sheltered sunny balcony with comfy furniture and views of fields and garden, which is a haven for wildlife and the odd escapee chicken!

We have retained as much of the stone work and original features of the Barn as possible and furnished it very comfortably in a contemporary in style.

Getting around

We have our own branch line station in Perranwell, the little train runs between Falmouth and Truro, with links from Truro to the rest of the County along with a regular bus system covering the whole county. The station and bus stop are a 10 min walk from the cottage

Interaction with guest

As soon as your booking is confirmed, I will send on the arrival directions and the details of where to find the key, we will not be there to meet you, so there is no need to worry about being late. Check in is from 4.00pm unless we have agreed otherwise. We do not pop in unannounced at any time as we like our guests to have as much privacy as they want and to feel "at home" during their stay. but we are close at hand if we are needed.

The area & accomodation fantastic,On our arrival at the Cottage Julie had put a cake and fresh flowers for us that was lovely.the train station about 17 mins away walking car 3mins park for free.The Cornish Arms in FROGPOOL well worth a visit the food is to Die for booking advisable.Falmouth lovely. The owners have made this cottage like Home from Home with every bit a detail wonderful. The owners are there if you need them but other than that they do not bother you.
