Description
This charming three bedroomed property is set in the forest with stunning views across the valley. Near to Akyaka, in a traditional village, 55km drive from Dalaman airport, Erikli Ev was our dream home and is the perfect tranquil haven for you to enjoy your holiday.
We bought an old shepherd's cottage set amongst the pine trees and lovingly restored it to the lovely house you see now. In the morning you wake up to the sounds of birds, cicadas and the local mosque. In this natural setting, the view across the valley is just divine. By night you can watch the stars, hear the frog chorus from the natural pond down below and enjoy the peace of having no neighbours in the immediate vicinity, the house is very private!
The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook a feast, plus there is a barbecue, perfect if you want to enjoy some local fish or meats. Portakallik is a traditional village where people farm their smallholdings, children play in the fields, and men chatter in the tea house by day and plough the land in the cooler evenings. With a mountain backdrop, Erikli Ev consists of the main house with a large air-conditioned bedroom, a four-poster bed and shutters. The open plan sitting room and fully equipped modern kitchen are stylishly decorated. The long veranda has a large wooden dining table and provides shade as well as a lovely dining setting. The annexe houses a further two air-conditioned large double bedrooms with en-suite open plan shower rooms. The pool and natural gardens are secluded and offer plenty of sunbathing and seating areas.
Whenever you can drag yourself away from the tranquillity of the house, the Carian Coast awaits. The villa is located in the forest on the mountain-side just over fifteen minute's drive from the stunning pebble beach at Cinar, and the pretty town of Akyaka with its 'Ula-Mugla' style of architecture, superb river restaurants and sandy town beach is 15 minutes away. The perfect place to holiday if you want to experience the real Turkey in an amazing forest setting. Two-person Honeymoon cottage prices on request.
