Description

The villa is big, with plenty of places to find peace of quite or rooms where you can enjoy time together.

Outside there are many seats/sun loungers around the villa and pool.

In a quite location but still in reach of all the main attractions of the Algarve. A short drive to the beautiful town of Silves. The well equipped villa benefits from a sunny south facing position.

Swimming pool is totally private and not over looked and is secure for children.

Inside the villa is very well equipped include Sky TV and WiFi access.

Situated in the lovely Odelouca valley you can enjoy the real Portugal.

Spacious with four bedrooms. The villa is on two levels the main part is upstairs with three bedrooms, dining room, main kitchen, main lounge, bathroom and en-suite.
Downstairs bedroom, shower room, second kitchen and second lounge with TV. The 42'' TV is in many languages including English, French, German, Spanish and others.

There is a large open plan lounge/dining room which leads on to the balcony where you can enjoy views of the valley.

Three bedrooms have double beds and the fourth has a single and bunk beds all bedrooms have air conditioning

There is a private swimming pool with security fence to make it child safe and there are six sun lounges near to the pool.

There are two dining area outside one on the large front balcony and a second shaded area to the rear of the property near to the BBQ area.

There is a large garden stock with fruit trees and an old well. Car parking for up to six cars on the drive with a lockable gate for security.

“Roomy house”

We rented this villa relatively last minute and were very happy to secure what turned out to be a bigger than expected property with great views and well equipped. The location was as we expected and good to get to all the various sites in the Algarve. It was also a relief that there was air conditioning in the bedrooms as we were there during a heatwave and really did need this to sleep at night. On the downside there is obviously a real problem with ants which were everywhere despite frequent attempts to get rid of them, but I guess this is one of the perils of being in a rural area. Whilst the house is really roomy and was great for our needs, it could have done with a bit of a tlc in some areas. However, what we were surprised about was the owners arriving at 0930 to clean on the day we left, without saying a word, not even sticking their heads inside to ask if we had had a good time or just to make their presence felt. Absolutely no problem with the early arrival, change over days must be frantic, but this attitude just seemed very strange and made us feel very uncomfortable as we were packing up to leave by the requested time of 10 am. There was also a rather unfortunate email exchange afterwards where we were accused of breaking and "binning" a clock and breaking the children's swings (after my daughter taking a nasty tumble, I specifically told the kids not to play on them as in my opinion the plastic was sun damaged and looked a bit unsafe). Agreed if damage is inadvertently done it should be paid for, but totally object to the way this was communicated and unfortunately tainted our experience. Very different to the holiday property we rented this past week where we have been recommended as model tenants!

Response from the owner Clients where arriving on an early flight and asked if they could arrive early at the villa, we agreed and got extra help to clean the house for there arrival at 1pm. At 1.15 I rang the client to check on progress only to be told they had gone to lunch! After a 2 hour wait the client arrived at the villa, we showed them around, it seemed they had no interest in anything we had to say and just wanted us gone, they where told we would be back at 9.30 the following week to clean the outside of the villa. The following week we arrived at 9.30 as stated. In the garden the swings which there where 3 of,and all 3 where broken (we would understand if it was just one), there was also beding and towels in the garden. We went up to the villa where there appeared to be an argument in the house so we decided not to get involved and just started cleaning outside. At the first point I saw one of the guests I asked if all was well and if they had had a good time. I was told yes but they had some ants in the house and had broke one cup. We said our goodbyes and I wished them a good journey. Whilst cleaning the house we noticed a number of broken items and that the clock was missing. I wrote to the client to ask what had happened to the clock and was meet with a very sharp reply acussing me of lying and was told that they would not pay for the clock. I did not wish to get into an argument so agreed not to charge them for the clock. The guests the following week found the clock in the garden with the glass front smashed. In many years of doing this I have only once before charge on the damage deposit. This client was the worst we have ever had.

“Gorgeous Villa”

A lovely villa with good sized rooms & plenty of outdoor space which includes a lovely patio & bbq area & pool as well as a large sized garden with a number of fruit trees & flowering climbers. The villa is situated in a quiet location but close to local amenities, the quaint town of Silves & numerous gorgeous beaches. The owners are very friendly & helpful & I'll definitely be back.
