Description

Apartment is situated in a perfect location for a romantic break or family holiday - just 5 minutes from Lagos Marina which has a range of bars, shops and lovely restaurants. You can take a boat trip from here to see the dolphins or picturesque grottos.

A further 10 minutes stroll over the bridge to the marina entrance, takes you into the unspoilt medieval town of Lagos, which also has a myriad of shops and restaurants for you to enjoy.

The apartment is just 5 minutes from the stunning Meia Praia beach which leads to the Palmares links golf course. Other excellent golf courses nearby are Penina and Boavista.

You may wish to choose quiet relaxation by the private swimming pool, taking in a drink or snack at the on-site restaurant, Matilda's.

Alternatively relax on the well equipped balcony, enjoying panoramic ocean views.

An added bonus for peace of mind ,is the 24 hour on-site security ensuring your safety and privacy.

The apartment has recently been decorated and we have upgraded the bathroom to include a large walk in shower. Enjoy your stay.

The balcony has, in addition to two fixed seating areas ,a table and four chairs for alfresco dining.There are also two sun loungers and a built in barbeque.The facilities within the Condominio do Mar comprise of a crazy golf play area, a children's playground, both of these facilities are free of charge(a deposit may be required for the clubs).There are extensive, private, well-kept gardens surrounding the complex in addition to sun terraces and sunloungers.Sun umbrellas may be borrowed from reception if required.

Getting around

You do not actually need to hire a car as everything - beach (7 mins), marina (5 mins), Lagos town (15 mins) and supermarket (10 mins), is within walking distance, which is helpful as car hire in the summer months can be expensive. There is also a very good local bus service (10 mins to bus station) to access nearby resorts such as Luz, Alvor and Portimao. The train station (5 mins) also gives a cheap option to travel across the Algarve and the local taxis (reception can ring one for you) are relatively inexpensive compared to the UK!

Interaction with guest

Keys to the apartment can be collected anytime from the Condominio do Mar reception, which is manned by the security team 24/7, who are very helpful and supportive should you need immediate advice.The keys have an infra-red fob which gives access to the underground garage for secure parking. Please ask at reception for the door and gate code number. (This changes regularly for security reasons.) We also have a local cleaning team and an English Management team who will deal promptly with any problems that may arise. We are contactable via e-mail and phone.

“Lovely apartment”

My wife and I stayed for 16 days in June 23 in Neil and Jan’s lovely apartment. The apartment was so well equipped and had everything we needed. We totally understand why Neil and Jan say this is their home from home! We enjoyed many lazy mornings and some late afternoons on the sunny balcony with it’s lovely sea view. The location was behind the beautiful Marina with its many bars and restaurants many of which had live music at weekends. It was an easy walk into the old town, again with lots of fabulous restaurants and bars. The complex was very quiet when we were there and the pool area and surrounding gardens were lovely and well maintained. The train station is about a 5 minute walk away and we had a lovely day trip to Faro. It’s five years since we had been to Lagos and we were very much looking forward to returning there. We were not disappointed as it was as lovely as we remembered it to be! All in all a fabulous relaxing 16 days and we wouldn’t hesitate to book this apartment again.

“Fabulous”

Great, well appointed apartment in fantastic location. Spacious balcony overlooking pool and there's a sea view too. Apartment is 5 minute walk to the gorgeous sandy beach and a 10.minute stroll from the wonderful old town, where there's a huge selection of fab restaurants. Bus and train stations also close and a day trip to Portimao is recommended. Would love to return in the future and have no hesitation in recommending it to others Thanks Neil and Jan
