Description from owner
Description
Glengarry Lodge is situated between Crianlarich and Tyndrum where Loch Lomond, the Trossachs National Park and the breathtaking Scottish Highlands meet.
Tyndrum is on the A82, the road North to Oban and Fort William. There are excellent facilities in the village including pub, restaurant, fish and chips cafe, petrol station, mini market, cash machines and two railway stations.
We are centrally located which makes Glengarry ideally situated for hiking, munros, cycle touring, canoeing, mountain biking, golfing and walking the West Highland Way (WHW). It is also an excellent base for touring by car or motorcycle.
There are 20 munros within ten miles of the house, 4 of which you can do from the front door. This makes Glengarry Lodge an ideal place for bagging munros in this part of the country.
Our self catering lodge is situated in an elevated site behind Glengarry House B&B; the surrounding views are fantastic and well worth the walk up the steps…
Internally there is 1 kingsize bedroom, a twin bedroom, open plan living room & kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen includes electric cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster etc. The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath. (always a hit after a long walk in the hills)!
In the living room there is TV with DVD and iPod dock and hifi with radio / cd player.
Heating is electric throughout and included in the price.

“Scotland as it should be”
Lovely cottage. Amazing views. Shower could be better but all the rest makes up for it. Lovely hosts.

“A gem in the Scottish countryside”
This is a truly well-appointed cottage set on away from the main residence. It has every convenience that you’d find at home like plenty of clean towels, large microwave, topped by a generous selection of entertainment options like loads of DVDs! It is located at an elevation that provides a fantastic view of the surrounding countryside, including mountains in the distance. It is not far from the very scenic drive along Loch Lomond, Trossachs National Park and access to the other areas interest like Fort William or further up north to famous Loch Ness. Personally, I needed just some peace and quiet and this was the perfect destination from the bustle of city life. I did not sample the local food or any of the other amenities but thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hosts Ellen and Andy were fantastic and available for any queries and checked to ensure the stay was to my satisfaction. The place is also pet-friendly though not suitable for anyone that has accessibility needs.
