Mount Brandon Cottage is located 5 minutes walk from the picturesque town of Graiguenamanagh, which incidentally hosts "the Town of Books" in September. The cottage enjoys beautiful views of Brandon Hill.
Did you know that Graiguenamanagh has a good few claims to fame? Here are just two: Check out "PEG WASHINGTON'S LANE", supposedly the world's smallest street (we will tell you where to find it). And: Did you know that it was a cow from Graiguenamanagh, which started the Great Chicago Fire???
Mount Brandon self-catering holiday cottage offers an excellent touring base for those wanting to explore the "Medieval capital of Ireland“, Kilkenny, as well as Carlow, Enniscorthy, Wexford or Waterford. We are ideally based for golfing holidays in Ireland, with Mount Juliet golf club only a short drive away. Are you into hillwalking? If so, you could not have picked a better spot. The South Leinster Way passes at our doorstep, you can enjoy walks up Brandon, over to Inistioge or just gentle strolls along the river Barrow.
Our self-catering holiday accommodation offers the freedom to relax and wander through a magnificent natural environment of mountain, meadow and river with spectacular views of the Barrow Valley landscape, the Blackstairs mountain range and Brandon Hill. Perfect for walking holidays in Ireland.
