“Little Piece Of Heaven...”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2013

Linda Field is a qualified wine tutor and certainly knows her stuff! She and her husband, Chris, have restored a beautiful Provencal auberge, complete with swimming pool and two separate gites. They run wine tasting and appreciation courses, including visits to local vineyards and restaurants, all of which makes for a very informative, but most of all, enjoyable way of learning about wine and wine-making. Linda's tuition sessions are extremely professional and very thorough. Linda and Chris are both wonderfully hospitable and knowledgeable, not just about wine, but also about the beautiful surrounding countryside. The food at the auberge is delicious (they are both very good cooks, Chris makes fresh bread for breakfast every day!) and if you feel in the mood to get your hands dirty, you can, or you can lie around the pool and wait for the dinner gong! It's a wonderful place, with the added attraction of actually learning something (without really realising you are learning) - you can stay for a long weekend or a week, it's up to you. There's plenty to do in the area if you are not a wine scholar and Linda & Chris are very happy to advise on various sights and attractions to visit. Bring sturdy walking shoes as you're surrounded by beautiful countryside, hills and mountains. Breathe in the fresh air and live the Provencal dream!
