“Perfection in Paradise”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2014

I don’t think you can get more difficult clients/guests other than us. An Interior and Exterior Designer who owns and runs her own award winning family-orientated accommodation business in Victoria, Australia. My/our expectations of accommodation and service are extremely high. So it was wonderful that my family and I were completely satisfied, and our expectations at Villa Cocoa Maya were totally exceeded. We dined in each night on the third floor enjoying the sea breezes and sunset. 7 nights and days of total relaxation with my husband and two girls aged 6 and 8. We hardly did anything at all except swim in the pool, took a boat trip to the islands in the distance, a visit to the Tirta Gangga water gardens which is highly recommended and a visit to the Bali Safari and Marine Park which is worth the trip although quite expensive – Western prices! We recommend the Tsavo Lion restaurant for lunch at the park, where you come face-to-face with lions and meerkats at the window when you dine. Thanks to Mailie and all the staff for your attention to detail and service. Being big travelers with annual visits to Bali, we like to visit new places and stay at new accommodation, but this is the first time that we are already planning to return next year to the wonderful perfection in paradise called Villa Cocoa Maya.

“A magical view”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2014

To have a week to unwind at Cocoa Maya after spending five nights at Legian, it was a welcome change. We had the opportunity to unwind, relax and basically do nothing! We absolutely loved the view and the fact that we were right on the beach. The snorkelling was just as good out the front as what it was at White Sand beach. Thanks to the staff for making us feel very welcome.

“A Fantastic Bali Villa for all.”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2014

We stayed at Cocoa Maya for 10 days in August 2014. The house, the staff and the facilities are simply out of this world. There is nothing wanting at the house and one could simply never leave the house as the food provided is delicious, the staff incredibly helpful and discrete and the setting superb. The venue in Candisasa is a small draw back as it is far from the hustle and bustle, but that is one of the wonderful elements of the house. It is exactly that, away from it all, but with decent enough eating places around the corner in Candisasa should one want to go for a bite. We hired scooters for the duration of our stay which were fantastic to pop out and have a little independence, attend yoga classes around the corner and go to gym. We loved our stay at the house i.e. My husband and two sons aged 11 and 13. In fact we loved Bali and the entire experience. Thank you to all the staff for making it a complete treat and one of the best holidays/rests we have had. PS there is no fence nor pool net over/ around the pool which is so much part of the property. Would not recommend the property to families with children who don't swim. Ours do, so it was no problem at all. They loved the pool!!!

“Like Coming Home - But With Luxury!”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2014

This is our second stay at this villa and it was even better the second time around. The staff are welcoming and always helpful and easy to talk to without being obtrusive. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they always have the information you need. We feel very much at home in this villa and it's like having a holiday with the comforts of home but with someone to do all the work and our the drinks! The villa is well situated for using restaurants in CandiDesa or trips further afield to Amlapura. It's also easy to eat at home, there's a reasonable menu and the staff cook excellent local food. The hardest part of the holiday is leaving! Thank you!

“Beautiful villa and professional staff”

“the perfect end to our Bali holiday”

Reviewed 20 May 2014

We stayed at the Cocoa Maya for our last few days in Bali and I'm so glad we did! It was a beautiful villa and gorgeous pool, which made for the perfect holiday. The view from the bedroom on the top floor can't be beat. Thanks also to the staff for their kindness and help. It was very easy to arrange excursions as well as travel to and from the airport. We didn't have to worry ourselves with logistics--we could just relax and enjoy our time!

“Beautiful villa with fabulous views”

Reviewed 16 May 2014

Our third stay at Villa Cocoa Maya. It has once again been a wonderful experience. The villa, Candidasa, the meals at the villa and, of course, the very attentive staff. Thank you! As I said on previous occasions – we will return!

“Fantastic accommodation, staff and location - perfect!”

Reviewed 15 May 2014

A very big thank you for your kindness and generosity during our stay in this magnificent villa. The villa itself is lovely and in a perfect location, well maintained and a joy to stay in. All the staff have been very friendly and helpful which has made our stay even more enjoyable. I would not hesitate to recommend Cocoa Maya to my friends and family, and would happily return some day. Thank you again for a fantastic holiday.

“Candidassa in style”

Reviewed 1 Mar 2014

Fantastic villa- huge great for 3 or 4 couples. The pool and gardens are wonderful for lazy afternoons after spending the morning snorking on the reef in front of the villa. The staff Komang and Made were extremely helpful particularly when we had a medical emergecy when one of our group slipped down the stairs, tiles are very slippery when wet, and cut their arm.

“Incredible house in an amazing location”

Reviewed 4 Feb 2014

This spacious 4 bed house provides enough space and luxury for big groups. It was bigger than we expected, each room had a spacious lounge area and bathroom. The views from every room are spectacular, the photos don't lie! Komang and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. There is plenty to do around the region but if you just want to chill out at the house then could easily spend a week just doing that. The meals cooked on site were great and we enjoyed Vincent's resturant just a short stroll down the road. If you are looking for a relaxed Bali holiday away from the hustle and bustle Cocoa Maya in Candidasa is a fantastic destination.
