The Dolphin Inn makes it easy to invite the whole family, even the dog! This impressive 7-bedroom beach house in centrally located Southern Shores, Outer Banks, NC, sleeps 17 and is pet-friendly. It's set on a spacious, landscaped property with something for everyone in your group, including a private pool and hot tub.

Beach lovers appreciate the short walk to the beach (1.5 blocks) and the convenience of the Tommy Bahama backpack beach chairs and beach wagon. Kids can’t get enough of the pirate ship playground, spacious yard and whimsical “crews quarters” on the entry-level. Early risers appreciate the horizon ocean sunrise from the quiet nooks on the multi-level decks.

The quieter pace and less crowded beaches in Southern Shores make it easier to relax, while still enjoying the convenience of free wifi, a well-appointed kitchen and grocery and retail stores just minutes away.

Great outdoor spaces keep high-energy guests active. If the Dolphin Inn’s sandpit volleyball court, basketball pad, private pool, hot tub and pirate ship playground don’t tire them out, set them on the wide bike trail running north and south of the Dolphin Inn. Need a bigger adrenaline rush? General house overview:

The first floor has three bedrooms and a game room. The second floor has three sunny master bedrooms, each with private entrances to the wrap-around deck. The third floor has a king master bedroom, also with private access to the deck. With horizon ocean views, the master bedroom on this top level opens to the great room with a generously appointed kitchen, dining and relaxing area. Gather at a table that seats a crowd, grab a quick meal at the counter, relax in the reading nook or watch the game or a movie on the sectional sofa.

About the area: Dolphin Inn is located in peaceful Southern Shore, two miles North of the causeway and one mile South of Duck. Southern Shores is the perfect location for a family vacation. Southern Shores boasts large lots, private beach access, marinas, hiking/bike trails, tennis courts, and a golf course. Five other golf courses nearby. Learn to hang glide at Kitty Hawk Kites. Visit the Hatteras Lighthouse at Cape Hatteras, Wright Brothers Memorial in Kitty Hawk, NC Aquarium in Manteo, the historic Whalehead Club in Corolla, or enjoy driving your 4-WD on the beaches North of Corolla. Getting around

The DolphinInnOBX is located in Southern Shores, in the heart of the Outer Banks. It is conveniently located just two miles north of the causeway/Wright Memorial Bridge and two miles south of Duck, NC. Our slightly altered Saturday check-in/check-out time, at 9 AM and 3PM, is engineered to help guests with an easier check-in. An earlier check-out means that the house is cleaned sooner and ready for the next guests to start vacation just a little earlier! ​

We love to talk to guests. New to the Outer Banks? Trying to find a house with the right amenities? Give us a call. We'll sort out your questions about the area, booking process and house details. Feel free to share our contact info with your group, especially for specific things like kitchen, beach, and baby/kid gear. After making the final payment, you’ll receive the door access code. We often keep in touch on check-in day, just in case the house is ready early. We want you to have a hassle-free week, so we never mind a call, even for small things like figuring out the TV remote or finding the best family-friendly happy hour. We appreciate receiving damage or repairs reports in a timely manner so we can secure a qualified vendor.
