Description

Villa Zeytin is a 3-bedroom villa, ideal for couples, families and groups of friends. As the pool is 1.8m deep throughout, we don't recommend the villa for families with very young children. We are at the end of a cul-de-sac, the last villa in the group, and 10-15 minutes walk to the centre of town. Push bikes can be rented in town, if you prefer to cycle. Trips to the magnificent 7km-long Iztuzu beach, where Turkey's first Turtle Rescue Centre is sited, can be made on the local bus (dolmus) or by river taxi. An excellent cafe/bar offers shade and refreshments all day, and you can hire sunbeds with parasols for a few lira. There are plenty of activities and boat trips organised from Dalyan, including scuba diving and snorkelling, bird watching on Koycegiz Lake, exploring sites such as the ancient city of Caunos and jeep safaris, or you can spend your days relaxing by the pool, or walking and cycling in the foothills of the mountains. There's a simple but very efficient barbecue for al-fresco meals at the villa or a wide choice of restaurants in town. Our recommendations are in the Villa.

Getting around

There are Dolmus (local buses) that depart from the centre of town, by the turtle roundabout, for Iztuzu beach (every half hour) and towns further away such as Ortaca. Check times at the Tourist Information centre (turn right at the Turtle Roundabout and walk down to the river, the centre is on the left). Taxis can be picked up beside Migros supermarket,

Our manager Dondu Karaman, who lives just down the road, is on hand to help with anything to do with the house and to help and advise on what to do in the area. She is happy to book restaurants, taxis or any other services. Just ask her.

House rules

We do not recommend the villa for very young children as the pool is 1.8m deep and not fenced. The villa is in a quiet part of Dalyan, and we ask for consideration for our neighbours from our guests, especially late at night.
We do not light our part of the pool at night, to conserve energy. We will have to charge for replacement of towels and bed linen if they become permanently stained with sun oils.

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Villa Zeytin and made good use of our special 50m pool, but we're sorry that you felt some things needed attention. There are three remotes for the aircon, one for each bedroom, and we always ask guests to get in touch with our manager straightaway if they can't find anything that should be in the villa, like the remotes or the hairdryer. Similarly guests should contact our manager, who lives a few minutes away and is available all day by text, if anything in the villa, such as lights, is not working and she will arrange to have it fixed as soon as possible. We're glad you found the kitchen well stocked - we enjoy cooking and hope guests will make good use of our kitchenware too. However, we don't have a microwave as meals are usually cooked from fresh ingredients in Dalyan.
