“Outstanding quality and value for money”
Five of us stayed in one of The Jumah's villas and it was an excellent experience. We stayed in the Gangga 3 bedroom villa. It was extremely clean and well looked after and the pool was amazing. We were very happy with the location - a short walk to the Monkey Forest Rd but with lots of places to eat and drink close by. The hosts looked after us attentively and were helpful organising transport etc. Breakfast was fresh and very enjoyable. All of the amenities, such as airconditioning, hot showers, water pressure, etc were in great working order. The beds were huge (even the single beds) and extremely comfortable. There was also a fantastic hot and chilled filtered water machine in this villa which was an excellent addition as we didn't need to purchase any water during our stay and could have cups of tea instantly. We would not hesitate to stay here again - it was wonderful!
Response from the owner Thank you so much for your kind review. It was a pleasure being able to welcome you at the Jumah and we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We hope to be able to welcome you back one day. Kind regards, Nyoman
“Best Ubud house for family”
We have had a wonderful time, dear helpful people, good breakfast and a beautiful complete house with the addition of a pool table. The beautifully landscaped grounds, with a large swimming pool, feels like you are in the jungle. Also the location is very central and close to all major sightseeing. Highly recommended and well worth the price. We will come back another year.
Response from the owner Thank you very much for you kind review. We loved being able to host you at Villa Jumah Gangga and hope to be able to welcome you back. Kind regards, Nyoman
“Good size three bedrooms villa with plunge pool.”
Overall happy with our stay. This villa is only 8 months old. Beautiful massive villa, easily fit 6 adults. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. Remember to bring your own toiletry, they were not provided. The villa feels a bit cold, concrete walls and not enough paintings to make it feel warmth. Wooden wardrobe is not functioning well, hard to open and close. There is pool table and DVD to keep everyone happy. There is no phone in the There are one adult pool and one kids pool, not fence off. Adult pool is good size and clean. Beautiful garden surrounding villa, no rice paddies view from our villa. Limited choice of breakfast, omelette or banana pancake but delicious, fresh juice and fruit every morning. Good service, always smiling, speak fluent english. Location is a bit far, good 15min walk from main street. A lot of construction along this narrow street. Very dark street at night. Further toward main street there are spas and restaurants. Might be hard with little kids or elderly as huge stairs getting in and out of this three bedroom villa, not sure if other villas have stairs.
Response from the owner Thank you for your input regarding your recent stay. We will definitely use this to ameliorate our product and services. Hope to be able to welcome you back at The Jumah Ubud. Kind regards, Nyoman
“Spacious, private luxury villa”
We were slightly alarmed as the car driving us to the villa got further away from Ubud town and restaurants and we realised we wouldn't be within walking distance of dining venues. However this was the only downside. The villa proved to be gorgeous, very roomy with a beautiful garden and temple, and generous sized pool. Transport in to town and back for the usual low cost that is typical Bali was easy to arrange through the on site staff. Fruit and omelettes and toast served daily for breakfast was perfect. Two days however, was two little. Needed another day or two at least to really unwind and relax.

“Nice gem in Ubud”
We are 6 friends who stayed at Villa Jumah for 2 nights in August. There are many good points to Villa Jumah that covers some of it's inadequacies quite nicely. The villa is huge and extremely spacious for 6 people, big enough to hold a house party for up to 30 people. Clean, neat and tidy with good furniture and appliances such as the iPod dock in the living area and the pool table between the 2 rooms on the 2nd floor. The swimming pool is huge and we were able to swim proper laps in it, the smaller sized dip pool was a great place to chill in the afternoons with a couple of drinks, enjoying the light foliage surrounding the villa grounds. Villa Jumah is located slightly off the beaten track, about 15-20mins walk into Jalan Bisma, from Jalan Raya Ubud the main street of Ubud town. There are some restaurants and shops on Jalan Bisma, one of them is Umah Pizza which you should definitely try, their Mie Goreng or Balinese fried noodles topped with a fried egg is awesome, we ate there almost every meal. The breakfast offered was adequate and Willy the groundskeeper is sincere and diligent, always going out of his way to make our stay as fuss-free as possible. Overall Villa Jumah far exceeded our expectations and for the price, it was definitely value for money. Great location though it requires a bit of a walk, the path is bordered with small patches of rice paddy fields, we enjoyed many nice relaxing walks on Jalan Bisma. If the walking bothers you, Willy will be glad to arrange for scooters or alternative transportation for you. We loved our stay however 2 nights was too short, we will definitely be back to Ubud and when we do, Villa Jumah will be our choice accommodation.

“Beautiful, great service, a few little issues”
We really enjoyed our stay at The Jumah, Ubud. Nyoman, Whidi, Made and all the team were wonderful hosts. Most of our stay went smoothly and overall we were very happy with the accommodation. The best parts were the successful airport transfers both ways, the fantastic communication by Nyoman before our stay, the beautiful food we were given at breakfast and dinner and the fantastic service with regard to cleaning of the villa (daily). Proximity to good food and the main street of Ubud and Monkey Forest Rd was also great, although perhaps a little far for young children, particularly in the heat (1.2Km). If I could make a few suggestions to the team it would be firstly that having a shuttle service from The Jumah to the main Ubud centre would make the stay even more fantastic. We would have been happy to pay a little more for our accommodation if it meant we had free shuttle services to the centre. Many places in Ubud provide this service to guests and it would have been wonderful for us to have this in place. A few things that let the stay down were: slippery tiles near the pool (perhaps a mat that clings to the tiles would be good?) Many different floor levels in the upstairs bathroom, slippery tiles and leaking fittings in bathrooms. Some aspects of the villa suggest it was built quickly (rails on the upstairs balcony were not secure) Even though the villa had cooking facilities and a kitchen, basic things like a bin and tea towels were not readily available. Bins in all the bathrooms would have been good too. Overall this was a great place to stay and with a few small improvements it could be brilliant. Thanks to Nyoman and the team for all your hard work! Bri

“Stunning villa in perfect location”
We stayed at the Villa Jumah Gangga with a group of five, and it was a perfect set up for us. The villa is just beautiful - it is hard to beleive you are so close to everything when you are relaxing in the pool surrounded by lush greenery. It feels very private, and the villa itself is incredibly spacious. I think the bathrooms are bigger than my bedroom at home! The beds were amazingly comfortable. It was hard to muster the motivation to leave the villa. Nyoman and all the staff were a pleasure to deal with. They helped us arrange all our transportation and served a lovely breakfast each morning. The kitchen is well set up for use if you wish to buy groceries at the store, and there is plentiful drinking water supplied. We will definately be returning again! Thanks Nyoman for making us feel at home.
