Description

Anak's Cottage" is located off Lombok, on the North end of Gili Trawangan in a coconut grove.

A 5 minute walk from white sandy shores, a 10 minute bicycle-ride from the main shopping/ restaurant strip. It's natural environment has a No car or dog Policy. Islanders walk, bicycle or use horse-drawn carriages (called a cidomo) .
One of the World's best places to scuba dive / snorkel, photograph starry nights... or write a novel !
Anak's cottage has four buildings: The Main house, 2 Guesthouses ( 2 Joglos) and a common open area that includes the kitchen and an al fresco dining area.
All of the buildings have been built from re-cycled wood in Traditional Indonesian style and unique tree-trunk columns.
Enjoy the swimming pool set amongst frangipani and mango trees.
All spaces are light, airy - with the additional comfort of all modern amenities. (water, electricity, air-con, wi-fi) .
Fully staffed with a maid/cook and security guard to look after guests from 7h30 to 21h00.
They prepare and serve breakfast and may also provide lunch and dinner 'upon request' (menu/ prices available).

ACCOMODATION
Main House
2 Bedrooms

• Anak's I and II – 2 Bedrooms with Queen Beds (from recycled boat-wood) equipped with fans and AC, plus windows opening onto the garden or swimming pool. En-suite bathrooms are: large and open (plein-air), using hot and cold fresh-water featuring lava stone wash basin, and western toilet. •
• Living Room – Large open-plan area, with a wrap-around veranda, lovingly furnished with recycled boatwood furniture, a daybed and plush cushions with several large ceiling fans.
2 Guest Houses (2 Joglos)


• Joglo Chic - Feels like a cozy, romantic tree house for adults with thatched ceilings constructed by local artisans. A Queen bed and large, open ground floor ensuite bathroom. Also featuring cold and hot fresh-water shower, a java stone washbasin and western toilet.
• Petit Joglo – A bedroom, like a children's tree house with thatched ceilings. A magic place to sleep or play. The bathroom (downstairs) features: cold and hot fresh-water shower, a java stone washbasin and western toilet.

Common Open area

• Dining Room – A luscious teak table, comfortably seating 10 people max, for al fresco meals. Please feel free to request the extra menu, available for Lunch and Dinner.
• Open-plan Kitchen – Is equipped with a modern gas stove, open grill, refrigerator, and full range of utensils and high quality tableware.
• Garden & Pool – Inground pool, surrounded by hardwood deck and child-safety fence, overlooks the patio area with chairs, for lounging.

The Gili Islands are an Indonesian archipelago of three small islands: Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. Lying in Lombok Straight, on the northwest coast off Sire Peninsula (Lombok) near Tanjung village. Bali is approx.35 km to the west of Gili Trawangan. On a clear day, Bali and Lombok are easily visible.
Gili Trawangan is the largest Island, with a population of 1,500 is approximately 3km long by 2km wide and is the only island to rise significantly (60 m) above sea level. It is in close proximity to the Equator, with a warm, Tropical climate. Temperatures rage from 22°C to 34°C. with an annual average of 28°C.

How can you get to Anak's Cottage?

There are daily international flights from Singapore to Lombok (Bandara- Int'L Lombok –LOP) with Silk Air and Tiger Airlines as well as from Perth, Australia with Jetstar airlines.
Upon arrival at the Lombok airport, there is about a 1 hour scenic drive to Bangsai's small harbor. The drive is scenic and contains sweeping ocean views, fishing villages, coconut groves and golden beaches. This leg of your journey can be done with either an airport Taxi or by having a car pick you up at the airport. If you would prefer to be picked up by car, please let us know when you are booking and we will be happy to assist in arranging it for you.
From Bangsai's small harbor a boat takes you to Gili Trawangan. You can choose either a 10 minute speedboat ride, or a 30 minute ride on a local boat.
Upon arriving in Gili Trawangan, a short 10 minute Cidomo ride ( arranged in advance ) will deliver you to the front gate of Anak's Cottage where you can unwind and enjoy your vacation in style.
