This charming, well-equipped apartment is strategically located in the Italian Lakes region with open and far reaching views of the lake and the alps.

Renovated in 2009, it has all needed facilities including a full kitchen, large living room, dining area, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with showers (of which one in-suite) and parking space (see floorplan in the photos section). The balcony provides great views of Lago Maggiore (hill-side location) and the alps in the distance and offers a comfortable setting for dining al fresco. The living room has a fireplace, Satellite TV and a DVD player. Free mobile wifi is now offered making internet a truly mobile experience, even when you are on the road,

Ideal for a group of friends or 2 families, two of the bedrooms have queen size beds while the third bedroom has a bunk bed and can accommodate two additional single beds to sleep a total of 4. The apartment is child friendly: one of the showers includes an infant tub; there is also a crib that can be utilized. In addition there is a ground floor bicycle room to accommodate for bicycles and strollers.

The apartment is located on the top floor of a 3-story hill-side apartment building (see photo) near one of Italy's most visited lakes, Lago Maggiore and is just on top of Stresa, a prestigious historic town on the lake. Stresa with its harbor is one of the main gateways of Lago Maggiore - you can visit the Borromean Islands from here or cross over by boat to one of the other towns on the Lake. The local pebble beach is easily reachable. Nearby is a boat rental place. A car is desirable - although it is feasible to stay there without a car as a bus stop is near the apartment that will take you down to the harbor and as the center is down the hill and only 15 minutes by foot.

You can pursue water sports on the lake, bicycling, horseback riding, golf and hiking in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the nearby alps in the winter. You can also visit the markets in surrounding towns (Friday in Stresa, Saturday in Como) and the many cultural offerings of the Lago in summer months. In the winter there is the Montarrone mountain where you can ski during good snow seasons, if not major ski resorts are 45 minutes away. The apartment is close to two of Northern Italy's top golf courses.

Distance to Malpensa airport is 30 minutes and about 45 minutes to Milan with its numerous cultural offerings. Turin, another major historic center of northern Italy is 1.5 hours. There is a direct hourly train (45 minutes) from Stresa train station (about 2 km from the apartment) to Milan.

Please note high season summer rentals are weekly only Saturday to Saturday.
