Description
Mulberry House is situated in a beautiful and unspoilt part of Turkey. It consists of 4 bedrooms sleeping 8 adults comfortably with a travelcot if needed. The pool is saltwater and 1.5 m deep. There is AC and wifi.
The nearest town is Dalyan, which is a very pretty, level 25-minute walk or a 7-10 minute bike ride away. From the terrace you can watch the sun rise or set against the spectacularly beautiful mountain back drop.The terrace is large and shaded. In summer it is the main living area. A breeze blows across the valley from the mountains and over the terrace. The garden is shaded by mulberry and eucalyptus trees, vines,hibiscus, jasmine and fragrant melissa. The views from the terrace are fantastic. There is a traditional Turkish korsk in the garden for total relaxation. It is easy to sit and look at the unspoilt and beautiful view! Storks are often seen flying over the valley. There are five mountain bikes included with the house. This property would suit anyone who was looking for a holiday with a difference, who wanted to experience the 'real' unspoilt Turkey and 'get away from it all.

“Such a beautiful, peaceful holiday base.”
Mulberry house is a lovely, typically Turkish, tranquil house In gorgeous surroundings overlooking a mountain. The accommodation is simple yet stylish, extremely comfortable and there's a washing machine so you don't need to take loads of clothes! The garden is beautiful with flowers and shrubs which attract huge numbers of birds - including regular visits from the chickens next door. I thoroughly enjoyed reading in one of the many hammocks in the garden - pure relaxation and absolute bliss. There's a small farm across the road and we even saw a goat being born and taking its first steps. If you want a simple, relaxing holiday in beautifully peaceful surroundings away from the noise of the town then Mulberry house is for you. But with 4 mountain bikes provided, the fascinating town of Dalyan is only a 5-minute bike ride away so you have the best of both worlds - tranquility at the house and excitement in the town; and Dalyan is the stepping stone for so many fantastic trips especially on the lake or downriver towards the sea. We really enjoyed the local 'turtle' beach, the hot springs/mud baths on the lakeside, lots of local markets and the trips provided by Kaunos Tours (who look after the house and were extremely helpful with all of our enquiries). We had a wonderful holiday and strongly recommend Mulberry House as a great base for looking around the Dalyan area. You will not be disappointed.

“Non touristy and traditional Turkish style house.”
When looking for holiday accommodation, I googled “non Touristy Dalyan” and Mulberry house came up... I was not disappointed! This holiday was one of our all time favourites. The house is just lovely... clean, comfortable and decorated in a tasteful traditional Turkish Style. The rooms are large, atmospheric and bright, with comfortable beds and fans to keep the temperature down. There is a good source of travel information and an excellent guide to the house and the local area. The house has a minimalist feel and yet we felt welcome and cared for. The large garden is particularly conducive to relaxation. We gazed at the mountains, flopped in hammocks and on sun loungers or read on the Turkish korsk, cooled by the breeze and shaded by trees, and bushes. Our cycle 10 minute cycle to Dalyan was a highlight, even for less experienced cyclists like me-(flat roads and magnificent scenery). Dalyan in June is pretty, lively and gentle and we were spoilt for choice when seeking excellent restaurants, bars or cheap and lovely boat trips ( about £10 for a day with lunch included) Our highlights were the turtle beach, the 12 Island tour, and the mud baths ( although I could include lots more). We took full advantage of the chance to swim and snorkel- the water was wonderful, the fish a little dull. There is no shortage of interest, adventure and cultural diversity for people who seek it, and every opportunity to relax. I would strongly recommend Mulberry House and can’t wait to go back .

“Beautifully down to earth retreat with a real turkish feel.”
This is a truly wonderful,characterful, spacious, clean, atmospheric, beautifully down to earth retreat of a place with a real turkish feel, tiled floors, open fireplace. It suited our needs perfectly. We all agreed that the open fire and the use of the bikes for the week was the icing on the cake for us. The house is near enough to walk into Dalyan town which in itself has a very laid back but friendly feel to it. The key holders for the property are Kaunos Tours who were absolutely fantastic, helping us with genuine honest and useful information regarding sight seeing and were available 24/7. We booked a couple of tours with them during the week which were great.(kayaking and turkish bath).There seems to be plenty to do there, but we were there at the beginning of the season so it didnt feel quite hot enough to do the canyoning or jeep safari. the cycle ride to the Iztuzu beach with the turtles is a stunning ride. We all felt that even though we didnt have the kids with us that we would love to return again with them another time.There is no pool, but this was not an issue for us as the weather was not overbearingly hot in April anyway.we found some nice places to eat with good veggie food too, all listed in the visitors book in the house but we also really enjoyed cooking and soaking up the atmosphere in the house too, especially lighting the fire in the beautiful fireplace. The description of the property was really accurate, the layout great.I would not hesitate to recommend this as a place to rent with or without kids infact we have been actively recommending it to friends as a welcome retreat from busy life. We shall be saving up for a return in the future.
