A lovely family villa sleeping 8 (cots available) in the hills around Caldas de Monchique above the Algarve coast.

Offering a large private heated swimming pool, private tennis court and set within two hectares of grounds. A very spacious balustraded terrace overlooks the pool and has fantastic views to the coast in the distance.

Mark Wilkinson designed kitchen. The villa lends itself to family gatherings and romantic breaks. It has the sort of easy comfort that makes it feel like home from day one. Free WI-FI throughout, printer/ Scanner also available.

The cicadas are always singing at Casa Childs, a private haven nestling amid five acres of cork, orange and lemon trees. Boasting a tennis court, a mosaic-tiled swimming pool and a terrace that stretches the entire length of the villa.

Casa Childs is particularly popular with families and large groups who want to stay far from the madding crowd, but also have easy access to Portugal's outstanding beaches and golf courses. The south coast is half an hour's drive away, the rugged west coast about forty minutes. You can walk down the hill in 10 minutes to the beautiful Roman spa town of Caldas de Monchique . Neighbourhood restaurants abound.

The villa itself was designed over fifty years ago by its British architect owner and remains in the family today. The style is elegant and unpretentious: English designer fabrics, Portuguese ceramics, granite mined from the local hills, a Mark Wilkinson kitchen. There is a book library, a printer/scanner and Wi-Fi throughout. Large Smart TVs with access to your favourite apps (Netflix etc.) A gorgeous log fire, radiators, pool heating.
