Well appointed, spacious house located directly on the Atlantic ocean. About 4 hours (c.a. 300 km ) from international airports Natal or Fortaleza. Located in a fishing village, quiet, safe and rural. Four bedroom, four bath (2 suites), 200 sqm ( 2149 sqft ) house + 132 sqm [ 1418 sqft] covered porch overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Property abuts approx. 100 m ( 328 ft) beach directly!
Large living room and kitchen, spacious baths, long granite countertop, modern appliances, 2 double + 4 single beds, abundant hammock hooks (hammocks suitable for small children) inside and outside. Covered parking. Independent water supply (well). Fully closed ceilings and mosquito screened bedrooms. Internet connection and/or maid service available on request.
Approx. 1.5 hectare (3.7 acre) property has mature fruit trees, yielding (depending on season & rainfall) cashew fruit as well as coconuts, pinha, mangoes (varieties), lime, cajarana, acerola and tamarinds (2 types).
Property maintained by local caretaker.
Miles of open sand beach and shallow waters devoid of predators, riptides or pollution. Agreeable climate with near permanent ocean breeze. Fresh fish and, depending on season and availability, crab, shrimp or lobster can be had locally. A restaurant opens across the village street on the weekends and a couple of bars operate when fishermen cash in their catch or local weekenders from town come to visit. The caretaker runs a tenda with necessities. Protestant services Tuesday & Sunday.
Daytrips to Ponta do Mel (scenic cape village), Natal (state capital), Grossos (ferry excursion), Tibau (weekend beach resort), Canoa Quebrada (mutlinational beach destination), Fortaleza (state capital & metropolis) and Martins (highland town, spelunking) are possible.
For those seeking a well-appointed, spacious house, accessible, but semi-remote, in a paradisaical ambiance, this is the ticket. The property has a rural setting, not for the city party crowd.
The nearest town (Areia Branca) is approx. 20 minutes away. There one finds restaurants, a market, LAN houses ( fast internet), banks, clinic, Catholic mass, supermarkets, pharmacies and the ferry across the Mossoro river estuary.

Internet service is available at different speeds. The service runs monthly, A neighborhood woman is available on as-needed basis to cook, clean and/or wash. The cost can be negotiated on a pro-rate linked to the minimum wage. We can set up either or both services prior to arrival.
