Description

On The Rocks is a luxury eco-friendly resort with breathtaking views on the island of Ios in Greece.

It is situated a short distance from lively Chora and five minutes walk from the beautiful beach of Valmas.

The resort consists of:

Four double and two twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms,

Two sitting rooms with a well stocked library, TV and hi-fi,

Two fully equipped kitchens,

A TV/games room and a playroom

To ensure privacy and flexibility the resort is arranged in two separate wings. The two parts of the house are linked by a private swimming pool, an outdoor sitting area, two outside dinning areas and a large lawn garden.

Every room is air-conditioned and the villa is serviced daily.

The villa is perfect for a fortnight holiday for large families, or families with friends and teenage children.

It will accommodate twelve people in style and comfort. The four mattress system and the pillow menu will ensure a great rest at night and the view from the windows and balconies will take your breath away.

The pool area and garden are ideal for a morning swim, a brunch by the pool, to read a book, sunbathe, or be inspired by the view .... and in the evening it will provide ample space for alfresco dinning, sunset cocktails, or late night drinks by the pool.

The two separate living rooms will allow grown ups to enjoy a relaxing evening, while the children and teenagers can enjoy a film or a game.

The village is a short walk away. It has numerous gift shops, beautiful narrow little streets and two lovely squares where you can enjoy a coffee, breakfast or a drink. Ios is famous for its night life. There are numerous bars that stay open till the early hours of the morning, many beautiful restaurants and tavernas that will cater for all tastes and budgets.

Ios is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches. They have organised water sports facilities and numerous cafes and little shops.

Ios is in the south Aegean and can be accessed only by boat. The crossing from Santorini is 45 minutes. The "High Speed" ferry from Athens (Piraeus) sails daily and the crossing takes three to four hours. There are also ferries from Crete, Mykonos and Naxos.

Transfer to and from the port in Ios is complimentary. On arrival at the villa you will be welcomed with tea, coffee, cakes, snacks, fruits and drinks. The fridge will be stocked with complimentary soft drinks, mineral water, beer and a bottle of wine.

We are a small family business who has been spending most of our summer holidays in Ios since 1988.

We want all our guests to feel special, enjoy a relaxing holiday and have a great time.

Walking to the main village, Chora, is just 15-20 minutes. Guests can hire cars, mopeds or quad bikes Guests can also use taxis at very reasonable prices.
