Description

A recently renovated mansion on one of the few left "pearls" of the Aegean Sea, combining the respect to the tradition with all the comforts the traveller needs to relax and enjoy unforgettable holidays. Halki is a hidden paradise and Villa Kalypso is the best place to stay, a few meters away from the sea, the market and the restaurants and bars of th island .

The Villa is consisted of 2 (almost identical) apartments of 50 sq.m. each, overlooking the beautiful Halki harbour.

Getting around

Halki is a place that you can relax and no car is needed. However, you can visit on foot all the beaches or even the old village on the top of the hill that lies like a ghost town on the feet of the castle. The village (an Unesco monument today) was populated till 1965 but already some of the abandoned houses are under construction.Then you can climb up to the castle (built 800 years ago to protect the Halkians from the pirates of the Aegean sea). If all these are too tiring for you, you can catch the mini bus that does several routes to the beaches, the old village or to the monastery of St. John. The timetable is published in several places around the harbor.

Interaction with guest

Depending on the period that you visit Halki we can meet others sharing with you all the information required. In case that we won't be in the island we will be in touch with several emails before your arrival, texts or phone calls. Our rep will be there to host you and try to make your stay in Kalypso unforgettable. However in the villa there is always a brochure with tips and information about Halki and the apartment.
