Villa Bohemia is located a ten minute walk from one of Seminyak's most popular beaches, restaurants and bars. But it is located in a quiet cu-de-sac providing the perfect tropical hideaway. This comfortably furnished villa features a high ceiling open plan living/dining with a/c which can be expanded by opening the bi-folding doors onto the patio and pool area. A 46 inch TV is in the living room and each bedroom has a 32 inch TV.

The two sun-beds sit beside the pool amongst a tropical garden complete with fragrant frangipanis, jasmine, and bougainvillea. The sound of the waterfall trickling into the pool while sitting in the attached Jacuzzi adds to the serene setting of this tranquil Seminyak hideaway.

Each of the three large bedrooms features a kingsize bed , en suite with bath and shower ,master with double vanity , a tropical garden view and a 32 inch TV . One bedroom opens out onto a garden area complete with hammock under a palm tree. The master bedroom also features a WIR, and a fishpond with a Balinese maiden fountain in the centre.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with a 5-burner gas stove and oven.

There is a guest toilet provided so visitors do not need to use the private en suites. A guest directory is also provided with recommended services , restaurants , emergency numbers and other information to help make your stay a happy and safe one.

Getting around

I recommend downloading both GRAB application and GOJEK for good transport options for local transportation within 45 min distance. Please message me if you would like day tours organized , they are 750000rp for a 10hr tour.

Interaction with guest

Most people who book a villa do so because they want privacy and I respect that. My housekeeper only comes over to clean the Villa between 1 to 5 pm each day. My pool cleaner comes 2 times a week. Check-in and check-out is simple by way of a lockbox at the front entrance gate. I can be contacted either by the message service available on this webpage or by watsapp.

We got what we paid for but the only comment was the condition of the toilets need upgraded. Good location with easy access to shops, convenient shops, cafe, bar and beach within walking distance.

Response from the owner I don't exactly understand how i was a bad host. I replied to your 15 or more emails in regards to the villa as fast as i could, gave you a discounted rate ($100/night for a 3 bedroom villa with private pool in seminyak) , met you on arrival for an early check in, organized airport transfers for you ,topped up the wifi straight away when the quota ran out. You stated in your emails my villa was a 'lovely' villa yet you give it one star in a review. All the TV's are working and there is over 500 dvds to watch also. There was one globe blown out of 3 in one bathroom and in one bedroom which was also a group of 3, not most of the lights in the house as you have written. Nyoman is a great housekeeper and does a great job managing the house . I didn't know the skylight was still leaking and will get that seen to. Sorry you didn't think i was a good host, most people enjoy their privacy and i respect that.

Response from the owner To respond firstly i would like to say this is the first negative review i have received, for my own character and also for the Villa. Firstly when asked initially if a late checkout was possible , after checking with the next guests arrival time i said it would be okay for a late checkout at 11 pm, however it would be charged at a full day rate. Due to the next guests son breaking his leg prior to travelling they had to cancel their vacation. This opened up the calendar and enabled another booking for this night. This wasn't a double booking as the guests already knew other guests were staying that night and they had only asked for a late check-out. After realizing the new guests were arriving at 9 pm after a long flight from China and the current guests had the 11 pm late checkout i contacted the current guests to explain the situation and how it had unfolded. I asked if it would be okay for the new guests to come into the Villa at 9 pm and I offered to take them out for a complimentary dinner and to then personally drive them to the airport. The response was very rude. Instead i took the new guests out to dinner and some drinks while we waited for the other guests to depart. Upon arriving back at the villa i found all the furniture in disarray , having already been cleaned and organised by the maid earlier. There was cigarette ash all over the exterior cushions which had been sat on with wet clothes which created stains and rubbish left all over the outside patio. Even though there was only two people they made sure they went in lay in all 3 beds just to make sure they would have to be changed again. Which i did personally. Even stranger this guest bought plastic cockroaches and spiders and left them laying around intentionally to scare the incoming guests. After their departure i then received threatening emails demanding the instant return of the safety deposit. i received all manner of accusations and threats even after i had replied explaining it was held in trust by flip-key and would be returned in one week as stated in the booking. I didn't want to write a negative review about this person or complain to flip-key because i was genuinally afraid of what he might do as he had informed me he was an Australian federal agent. However i needed to respond to this review . Later i received an email asking if i could post an apple computer cable back to his address in Australia to which i replied i could if he paid $65 for the extra cleaning which needed to be done, and the express certified post, to which he rudely replied to not bother. Please read through all the reviews before basing your decision on this one persons review, Thank-you for reading and i hope to have you as guests in Villa Bohemia soon.
