Description
Minsmere Cottage is a delightfully renovated two bedroom cottage close to RSPB's Minsmere bird reserve. The cottage is located in the picturesque village of Eastbridge. The large garden at the rear of the property has stunning views across the Minsmere marshes. You can watch the Barn Owls and Marsh Harriers as you eat breakfast in the sunny kitchen/diner.
Minsmere cottage caters for up to four people in one double bedroom and a twin. It can be booked with the adjacent Meadow Cottage to accommodate parties of up to eight people. Well behave dogs are welcome.
The cottages have been sensitively restored, retaining their original character but at the same time providing modern day comforts including central heating, an upstairs bathroom, a wetroom downstairs, free WI-FI and satellite TV. The cosy lounge has a log burner - a supply of free logs can be found in the garden shed. The kitchen diner has stunning views across the Minsmere meadows and comes extremely well equipped with an electric fan oven, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/drier, dishwasher etc.
Minsmere Cottages is ideal for birdwatchers all year round and is also perfect for families looking for a relaxing summer holiday or a short break. The Suffolk coast and countryside is also ideal for cycling.

“Idyllic”
We had a most wonderful week in Minsmere Cottage. The word “idyllic” kept coming in to our minds. Cottage is situated in delightful hamlet of Eastbridge, bordering on Minsmere RSPB reserve. We explored the surrounding area - Southwold, Aldburgh, Walberswick, Snape - with nowhere involving driving for more than around 20-25 minutes on quiet country roads. The itself has been beautifully restored; it is quaint and also very comfortable. The EELS FOOT INN is a couple of minutes walk away and serves great food. There is a large garden area at the back of the cottage beyond the patio, with a “left to wild” area which had an owl box at the the bottom. The weather was perfect and the deck chairs were well used. We intend to book again for 2023.

“Lovely cottage”
Very comfortable, and lots to do. Will certainly be back. We do wonder why there was no welcome pack, as guest book shows a welcome pack is usual. Have spent a great deal of our holiday at Minsmere enjoying the wildlife.
