Description

Our historic former coach house and stable was built circa 1875 and was once owned by a prominent Cromer family, the Cabells. It has been lavishly refurbished to provide wonderful self-catering holiday accommodation for six people with modern living facilities including unlimited WiFi, Smart HD TV, free Netflix, free Amazon Prime TV, DAB Bluetooth Radio/CD player and Amazon Echo Dot with Hive Heating.

Built around a small sitting out area and a courtyard. It lies in a peaceful location yet within a three minute walk of the sandy beach. Also within a few minutes walk are the famous pier, promenade, and the town centre with its wealth of shops, cafes and restaurants. Cromer boasts carnival week (held during the third week of August), an RNLI lifeboat station and museum, an 18 hole cliff top golf course as well as promenade gardens and pier with theatre hosting concerts and featuring visiting performers. Beach, shops, restaurant, coffee shop and pub just 200 yards walk. If you want to escape to the country or to the Norfolk Broads for a day, then Cromer is equally well positioned being less than 30 minutes from the Norfolk Broads.

Ideal for family holidays in peak times - Parents, children, and their grandparents, or couples during off peak.

Due to its proximity to the coast the holiday cottage has been decorated throughout with a sophisticated nautical theme.

Our self catering holiday accommodation comfortably sleeps 6 people and has off street car parking for two cars and is located right in town but down a quiet undisturbed lane.

For guests who do not drive, our property is a 2 minute taxi ride from Cromer station or a leisurely 10 minute walk.

The holiday cottage is well maintained inside and out, with great attention paid to detail and cleanliness.

“Practically perfect!”

Such a lovely property. Had every thing we could possibly wish for. Definitely coming back. We would definitely recommend this gorgeous property. Literally 3mins away from beautiful beach.

“Everything on hand for a wonderful holiday”

Excellent accomodation ,very clean,comfortable and extremely well equipped. We were impressed with the fact that we could walk to the beach,shops and restaurants in about 4 minutes . Our teenage grandson was very happy playing pool with us in the games room and of course watching Netflix etc ! We all had a great time and the weather was fantastic which made it even better. Visitors should visit the Hillside Shire Horse sanctuary which is now free to enter and is a super day out for families.(only 15 minutes away by car)

Response from the owner It is disappointing to receive a negative review and equally frustrating that the guest made no attempt to contact us or our agents during her stay. The cottage is NOT in need of refurbishment and does not have any cleaning issues as can be seen from all the other reviews here, most notably the 5 star review left by 'Nicole' a few days later. This is our first negative review in over 10 years of operation. This guest's perception of issues is in sharp contrast to reality. By way of examples, five pebbles on the courtyard cobbles were an issue as was some rust around the keyhole of the outdoor garden gate, a wood knot on an internal door she thought was 'bird poo', reflected light and shadows on a ceiling through a Georgian window were perceived as a dirty ceiling, and to cap it all, our antique dining room chair was broken during the time she stayed and she she complained about that too! We are passionate about our property, we are continually updating, modernising and improving it and always strive to make everything perfect for our guests. We trust other guests will be able to see through this inaccurate review and see it for what it really is.
