Description
This is an attractive and very comfortable cottage set in a quiet spot, almost on the flat, in the centre of the village. It is set well back from the road within a pretty south facing garden which has lots of outdoor seating. There is private off-road parking for 2/3 cars.
The cottage is well furnished. and there is gas central heating. The lounge has 2 large sofas, easy chair, TV , a living flame gas fire and a WiFi connection. The dining room has seating for 6 - with extra seating available in the kitchen. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and a table with seating for 4. There are 5 bedrooms, one on the ground floor, a shower room and a bathroom. The ground floor bedroom and shower room are useful for less able visitors. A well behaved dog is welcome.
The cottage has a very convenient location. From the front door it is only about 2 minutes to the shops and the promenade which runs right around Swansea Bay, from the back door it is only a short walk to more shops and the 12th Century Oystermouth Castle.
Mumbles itself makes a good base for a holiday with lots of small shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Tennis, crazy golf, bowls, cycling and water sports are available in the village. There are several parks, two with children's play areas and lovely sandy beaches are within easy reach. Bracelet and Rotherslade beaches are in walking distance and from there the cliff path takes you to Langland and Caswell bays.
Further afield, the Gower, Britain's first area of outstanding beauty, is easily accessible by car or bus.
The area is ideal for families or groups of friends.

“Ideal location”
You can’t beat this place for its location. Just off the high street where there are lots of upmarket shops such as Joules, sea salt and white stuff. Right on the sea front and easily accessible beaches nearby. Also plenty of restaurants for all budgets. We ate in prezzo and bistro Pierre- both had good food and walking distance back to cottage. The cottage itself has parking right outside which is a real bonus. It is well equipped and clean but it’s decor is old fashioned and dated and we had a bit of a problem with the gas hob (but the owner responded very quickly). However, as a holiday let that doesn’t matter We were lucky with the weather so had a great week.

“A gem of a cottage”
A perfect cottage for our family group of three generations including 2 toddlers. Well equipped with lovely character: clean, comfortable, homely, lovely little garden and parking in the centre of Mumbles. Helpful welcoming host nearby. Being able to walk to the castle, shops, promenade, pier, cafes and beach in minutes was a real bonus. Also enjoyed the beautiful sandy beaches on the Gower and stunning coastal walks from Rhossili to Worm's Head (saw seals!) and Oxwich to Three Cliffs Bay. Swansea museums and leisure centre only a few miles away gave us wet weather options.

“Great location with parking”
The location of the cottage is perfect with the added bonus of off street parking for 2 cars which is a massive plus in The Mumbles and is dog friendly. However the cottage is very tired and needs some updating and TLC. The windows are difficult to open and close, paint and plaster are peeling off walls and ceilings, basic equipment like saucepans have wobbly handles about to fall off, net curtains in the bedroom kept falling down as they were too heavy for the nails holding them up. Having said all this we had a lovely holiday with our grandkids and they loved Mumbles and the Gower Coast.

“Lovely Cottage just near the beach”
Excellent location from the beach and a local pub. My group had a lovely weekend here used as a base to explore the coast line.

“Great place for our visit.”
The cottage was a great place for our family visit. Cottage was clean and with 2 parking spaces available which is a premium in Mumbles it was perfect. Not only that, it was only a 2 minute from Joes.
