“Beautiful location, quiet, great service.”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2016

The villa was set in a beautiful resort with very friendly staff. The resort was very quiet and clean with fantastic views. The villa itself was well maintained and spacious and Max and Melati were very quick and helpful with their communication, which was especially important as we were travelling with our toddler son. Ms Nyoman was lovely too, as were her son and daughter. The only downside was that the cot was a bit small for our son, but we probably should have been a bit clearer about that. Highly recommended. Thank you Max and Melati.

“Beautiful and peaceful”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2014

We spent 16 days at The Studios Ubud in July 2013 and we had a great time there. Booking was very easy and the apartments (we stayed in both) are very comfortable and perfectly equipped. The location is peaceful and relaxing inside a beautiful compound very well kept indeed. It is also quite convenient with plenty of restaurants nearby, one small supermarket next door and a bigger one a bit further down the road, and Ubud centre at walking distance (around 20 minutes). The staff were always very helpful and friendly. So, it was a perfect stay for us and we highly recommend these apartments to anyone visiting Ubud.

“Absolutely gorgeous.”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2013

I stayed here in June and loved absolutely everything about the apartment. It is nestled within a little cluster of other two story apartments that are far more seperate than clustered city apartments with gorgeous climbing plants and jungle trees that allow for just enough secluded vibes. Max the owner is amazing with communication and his staff are top rate. His house keeper, Nyoman is just gorgeous and she quickly became like my protective big sister. The manager, Mr Nyoman was super efficient and when I stuffed up the wifi he was on it like white on rice and within in a few hours (on the weekend mind you) he had a technician out and made the impossible happen. The apartment is lush. Two key things I have found an 'either or' gamble with Ubud accomms is bathroom and bedroom quality. The Bthrm is modern marble tiles and has a yummy wood pottery smell (I would often just randomly open the door and take a deep inhale). Great shower pressure, huge posh mirror to perve on yourself with. The bed is big and super comfy, lovely plump pillows. Great variation of tv channels (so much so I kind of didn't read the books I took which was naughty) and the a/c was ice-box cold. The kitchen area has no a/c but it didn't matter. All the kitchen equipment was extensive enough to make some of the yummy food I learnt from a fabulous cooking school they hooked me up with. The bin tang supermarket (perfect size to pleasantly wander around and buy your baguettes, and soft French cheeses) is only a 5 min walk. The walk into town isn't far, but I was a bit lazy and got locals to scooter me in when I could be bothered to peel myself away from the day bed which looks out over the rice Paris and tropical jungle. But I saw plenty of grey nomads enjoying the meander). The grounds are heavenly, lush gardens, security guards (tho no need but lice to know there). Lovely local food. Happy welcoming smiles. And for the price...only for good karma do I share this gorgeous Ubud jewel. Enjoy.
