Description
Our charming town house is ideally situated in the seaside resort of Houlgate on the Normandy coast of France, close to 2 kms of sandy beach, local shops, restaurants and amenities. We rent out the top floor of our house, comprising 2 interconnecting rooms (one with double bed, the other with 2 singles) as well as a spacious private bathroom. We provide all sheets, towels, and beach towels necessary. A generous continental breakfast is available on request, at a supplementary rate. For your comfort, you can relax in our sitting room with television, or lounge in the sun in our pretty backyard protected from the wind.
From the house you have direct access to the wide sandy beach stretching from the cliffs of the 'Vaches Noires' to the picturesque 'Port Guillaume'.
Numerous activities are organized on the beach including games for the children and a mini club.
A mini golf course is located in front of the Casino, at a short distance from the house.
Discover the neighbouring seaside resorts of Cabourg, Deauville and Trouville, with their casinos, grand hotels, gourmet restaurants and elegant shopping facilities, all within a 20 minute drive from the house.
The quaint medieval town of Dives sur Mer, famous for being the departure point of William the Conqueror, with its beautiful commemorative church is a mere 5 minutes' drive away.
For a day's excursion, why not visit the historic city of Caen with its castle, Bayeux with its renowned tapestry, the debarkation beaches and American cemetery along the coast, or the harbour towns of Honfleur and Le Havre.
If you are travelling by car, a private off-street parking space can be reserved for you directly opposite the house;
