A large Gold Coast canal-side holiday apartment, set amongst two acres of sub-tropical gardens and lawns

Unit 53 Bayview Bay is a comfortable two-bedroom apartment with great water views from every aspect. The master bedroom has its own balcony and a generously sized ensuite bathroom. The large main bathroom includes a laundry nook with washing machine and dryer.

The modern, light and airy kitchen is equipped with wall-oven and oven-grill. benchtop stove, double-sink, dishwasher, microwave, all cooking and dining ware and a large refrigerator.

Stand at the sink and enjoy the views over the broadwater to South Stradbroke Island.

FREE 50mbps NBN Internet, via ethernet or wi-fi.

You are only two minutes walk from a quiet park and still-water sandy beach. If you are in the mood for some exercise, breath in the salt-sea air as you stride along the waterfront the 2.4 km to Charis Seafood (The Gold Coast’s largest seafood outlet). Walk 1 km the other way along Bayview Street and you will be at the Runaway Bay Shopping Village, with Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Big W, Target and a raft of food, clothing and specialty shops.

Dreamworld and Seaworld theme parks are each around 10 km from Bayview Bay and Warner Bros. Movieworld is only 14 km away.

Unit 53 is regarded as the best located of the 53 units in the Bayview Bay complex, as it’s end position and height (north end, top floor) affords water views from every aspect. As Unit 53 is located the furthest from Bayview Street, there is absolutely no traffic noise. There is secure underground parking for two small cars, or a car and a boat-trailer. The complex has its own boat ramp.

There is an electronic security key-tag system throughout the complex.

The apartment is not suitable for children, as the apartment is on the top floor and the owner is concerned for child safety.

The Gold Coast is large enough to have all the facilities and features of a large resort city, including huge shopping complexes, theatres, nightclubs, fine dining, art galleries, several world-class golf courses and driving ranges, sporting complexes, an international airport and many live music entertainment venues.

But if you are looking for a quieter and more relaxed holiday, the Gold Coast has that too. It has some of the world’s best surfing beaches. If you enjoy fishing you can hit the surf or join a day trip to go deep-sea fishing. There are also plenty of quiet still-water estuary fishing locations.

Behind the Gold Coast's celebrated beaches, city skyline and meandering canals, just 35 minutes away is an impressive frame of hinterland mountains capped with sub-tropical rainforests, complete with many hiking tracks.

By Queensland law, the maximum letting period for a "Holiday Letting" is 35 nights. The owner is bound by that legislation, so bookings for longer periods on a single booking must be declined.

Getting around

There is a bus stop close to the apartment and buses will take you to almost any Gold Coast destination you want. But most guests use their own, or a rental, car.

Interaction with guest

I love meeting new guests and ensuring they have everything they need. I completely respect guest’s privacy, but I am always just a phone call or email away from attending to anything that needs attention If you are looking for a recently refurbished apartment, then this may not be for you. But if you will be comfortable in a fastidiously clean, well equipped and well-maintained older apartment in a perfect location, you will be as happy as ALL our previous guests have been (check out the reviews, you will see that we have never received a negative one).
