“A great time in Torre alfina”
I became aware of Torre alfina when I visited the area in 2012. It the town is a small one and the centerpiece is an old very well maintained castle. Right next to it, as it turns out, is the villa Luisa and her husband own and operate. My friends and I stayed there for two nights in September and it was just great. The room was large and comfortable with a large en suite bath. The breakfast served by Luisa were just great. There is a wonderful warm helpful atmosphere created by the friendliness of the Shattuck's. I heartily recommend a stay in this quaint, very scenic village.
“Lovely Stay in Torre alfina”
My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. We wanted to escape the heavy tourist areas and find the quaint Italian town that we had dreamed about stumbling upon when choosing Italy as our honeymoon destination. We found exactly this with Luisa's lovely B&B; in Torre alfina. The house is right next to a castle in a very welcoming town. The room we stayed in was super comfortable, immaculate, and just perfect for 2 people. I loved the fresh lavender scents in the room and the linens were so soft and cozy, making quite a luxurious night's sleep. Luisa is as nice as person can be and an excellent cook! Mark is from the USa originally, but has lived in Italy for a long time, making him a valuable resource for Italy travel info. He may even take you around for an extra fee, which is totally worth every penny! Rome is just an hour or two away and Torre alfina is near many wonderful towns in both Tuscany and Umbria. I would highly recommend staying here as your home base if you are wanting easy access to many beautiful areas in Italy, with a quiet and comfortable place to rest in between your day trips. Ciao for now!
“A charming place”
If you like nature, biking, walking and still enjoy a good wine and good food you're in the right place.
“where to stay in Torre alfina”
We had the chance to discover Torre alfina thanks to our friends marriage. They planed our staying in Luisa's house and we have really to thank them: it 's the right place to stay if you are planning to visit Torre alfina. Relax and beautiful landscape in a very nice apartment, renovated with care and details and Luisa's kindness and hospitality make your staying perfect.
“Lovely, cosy and full of delicate details!”
Very nice option, well located, quite town but close to main highways. Pleasant landscape routes leads you to beautiful Orvieto and superb Sienna. On top of that, there is Luisa hospitality and kindness!
“A very pleasant surprise”
We were invited to Torre alfina by a friend who was organising a concert there and asked us to come along. I had never been and was very pleasantly surprised by the local landscape and the town itself, which is very child friendly, full of pedestrian lanes and not many cars and is framed by a dramatic castle. The scale makes older children feel free to explore. We rented the larger of two rooms in Luisa Carrarini's home. The place is located very conveniently just off the town's main square, a haven for children of all ages to meet and play. The recently renovated room is really a decent size flat with a comfortable bed and sitting room area, its own bathroom, all decorated with taste and great attention to detail. Very good value. The house is immersed in a very well-tended garden full of flowers which slopes down into a lovely park. So it's the best of both worlds: in the centre but immersed in nature. The owner is very helpful with advice as to where to eat in town (the room has no kitchen)and prepares a delicious breakfast she brings to your doorstep in a basket at whatever time you like in the morning. They were very flexible about check out and were happy for us to stay well into the afternoon on the Sunday. We greatly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying longer next time.
