TIRED OF THE RIDE? NEED A BREAK? COME, GETAWAY...
IPPERWASH BEACH- a 10-15 minute walk away along the road or on paths through Carolinian woodlands and a series of forested dunes to the beach; a 5 minute bike ride (there's bikes and a bicycle shed on the property), or a 2 minute drive to Lake Huron. At the lake, there's ample free parking and miles of some of Ontario's finest beaches perfect for swimmers as well as for toddlers.
Hiking, X country ski trails can begin at the front door
Several excellent, nearby private and public golf courses
Local movie theatre, Forest, live theatre Huron County and Petrolia play houses
Excellent, varied and interesting restaurants and pubs
Farm stores and close by fresh fruit and vegetable stands
