Response from the manager Thank you for your recent review and whilst we were pleased that you enjoyed your stay and the house, we were also disappointed that you found the games room equipment in poor condition and there to be marks on the walls. We have subsequently investigated this and indeed the pool table did have a slight lean whereby one of the legs was damaged - we have since taken out the pool table and replaced it with a brand new table tennis table. The table football table was a recent purchase and did appear usable as far as we could see. Whilst we appreciate that you may not wanted to have disturbed us during your stay, if we were made aware, we would have been more than happy to temporarily repair the pool table. With reference to there being marks on walls throughout the house, inevitably as people brush against them this can occur – we do endeavour to touch up the house with paint after each group where required, but through the busy summer months with quick changeovers between groups it’s not always possible to be immaculate. Our professional decorators will be in the property from September in the main corridor areas to ensure that any marked areas are re-painted however. We were so pleased to hear that the spa and indoor pool facility was a success and thank you for your constructive feedback which is greatly appreciated. The Woodlands Team

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
