Description

Accommodations in the Redfish LOFT include a luxurious Royal-Pedic California King pillowtop bed with organic cotton linens, soaking tub with spectacular ocean views, plush leather sectional, gas fireplace, mini-fridge, hi-speed wireless internet, and a slate balcony overlooking Battle Rock and the Pacific ocean. Located directly below, Redfish is open Mon - Fri 11 am to 10pm and Sat-Sun 9 am to 10 pm. The fare is locally-available fresh ingredients prepared in a French/American style.

You will have access to all of the natural beauty and fun activities of the Southern Oregon coast. Come and visit the Hawthorne Gallery, our on-site contemporary fine art gallery, get in some sport fishing or play a round at the world-famous Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.

“Great Valentines Day Stay”

My wife and I stayed at the Redfish Luxury Suite for the recent Valentines Day holiday and it was wonderful! Beautiful setting and great food at the restaurant below. The staff was able to accommodate us for an earlier than scheduled meal and they even included roses and chocolates in our room to help celebrate the holiday. Both my wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. One night but very refreshing. We recommend it if you get the opportunity to stay anytime! Valentines Day was excellent!

“Pampered Luxury with Breathtaking Views, Amazing Decor, & Even a Comfy Bed”

We had been traveling for 11 days (So Cal to Portland). The night we stayed at the Redfish Loft we had planned to go to Coos Bay & find something. It was raining pretty hard and we were tired. We pulled into Port Orford, and stopped at the Redfish Restaurant (recommended on Trip Advisor) for a later lunch. Immediately, the artwork jumped off the walls and the decor was so elegant and chic - well we knew we had made a good choice. While waiting to be seated we saw photos of "The Loft". We then went online and well after deciding it would be best to stop for the day and rest and recharge we happily landed at the Loft. And let's just say we were not disappointed. The Loft is one big room with a large, comfy leather sofa complete with lap blanket, a California King bed and a beautiful, spacious bathroom with soaking tub and a window to the ocean view. I cannot adequately explain the attention to detail from the linens on the bed to the tiles in the bath and on to the Wall of Windows overlooking the Pacific and Battle Rock. This is just a beautiful place to lay your head. In addition, the owners are artists (the Hawthorne Gallery is next door) and the Loft is like your own personal gallery - from abstract paintings to sculpted glass work even intricately made iron work lamp, table and chairs! We did not have the opportunity to enjoy the deck but on a sunny day I am sure it wonderful. There was a small frig, coffee maker and coffee, plenty of bottled water and slippers & bathrobes. This is a place we will talk about for a very long time and if you are looking for somewhere special look no further. The Redfish restaurant below is an added bonus we ate lunch & dinner there!

Two days of stormy weather in February made for a very quiet and private spectacular view of the Pacific. The equivalent of a 4/5 star hotel room this one off loft has all the benefits without all the people. We were there from a Sun to Tue and the restaurant is closed Sun and Mon nights in winter months. So owner Chris had his chef come over and cook us a very private dinner in the restaurant below. The restaurant is one of the best on the coast with a great wine selection. The views beat Cannon Beach and we couldn't escape the intriguing Hawthorn Gallery without a purchase. Only 30-45 minutes from Bandon Dunes so also a great place to treat your wife after time dedicated to golf.

“Impeccable design, location & service!”

My wife and I passed through Oregon on our way to Seattle after doing the Pacific Coast Drive. We purpose to find locations to stay that have put significant thought into the aesthetics of the accomodations they provide. We were stunned to discover the Redfish loft. The design by Gary Robertson is perfect. Artwork/furniture by Hawthorne family of artists tastefully fill the place. The bathroom with the window makes the space seem much bigger than the advertised 450sq fee. You are never without the breathtaking view! Jeff was great, from the initial phone call to after hours check-in. Chris, the owner and , graciously brought us lattes in the morning, and stayed to chat for a few minutes. Lena at the restaurant provided excellent service taking our order, and then later delivering it to us. Port Orford was supposed to be a pass-through town on our journey. It is now a future destination of ours.

“Amazing Service and Views, Beautiful Loft, but 2 much noise...”

The service, views and design of the loft were all amazing...some of the best I have ever experienced and I find myself on planes criss-crossing america over 60 times a year...the only shortfall to the overall experience, and sadly one that greatly impacted the stay, was the noise from the restaurant downstairs. My wife and I were kept up until around midnight from folks closing the restaurant, music playing, chairs being moved etc, and we were startled awake at 6am (ish) with employees opening the restaurant with lots of bangs and bumps (I presume from putting down chairs and tables hard on the ground). So although we truly were amazed by the majority of the experience, my wife and I both left extremely tired and in need of coffee due to the lack of sleep on what was supposed to be an evening away for relaxation, rest and rejuvenation.

Response from the owner We at the Redfish LOFT would like to thank this guest for his helpful recommendations and for being our first LOFT patron ever. His observations were legitimate and we have made the necessary adjustments to ensure that now our guests have the most rejuvenating experience possible. First, the restaurant downstairs now opens later in the day, at 11 a.m. Wed-Fri and 9 a.m. Sat-Sun.. Second, our staff open and close the restaurant more much quietly in consideration of our LOFT guests. These changes create a much more quiet, restive atmosphere and build upon the already striking views and design of the Redfish LOFT.
